Spider tanking shouldn't be just you repping people, you need a group with reps, that way if you have the attention turned on you, you quickly switch around so that if you were all repping one guy, they're now all repping you. I've found if you operate a two spider tank convoy, you can both get a reasonable amount of kills by switching the player on point.

You allow the one player to go first, follow close behind and then cover his flanks whilst he kills ahead, when he calls reps, you rep him, when you call reps he calls you, then you switch so that you're on point and he's covering you.

If spider tanking gave WP (even guardian points) it'd be one of the best days ever.

And I have to admit it has been pretty fun. Has nobody else tried this, because I have literally never seen a tank use any kind of triage before.

I posted numbers but I'll post them simple. Light Booster: around 800 Heavy Booster: around 1500 Light Transporter: around 1500 Heavy Transporter: around 4500 Transporters win, they also use less CPU and PG. Now, for shield spider tanking, every vehicle benefits from it. Madrugars with 1000 Shields benefit from it as this creates a buffer for them, they're able to take more swarms shots than usual when they've got the additional reps on. My general rule of thumb is don't rely on external reps, if you cannot rep yourself or do not have a large buffer, you're going to die. Spider tanking should amplify your tanking ability but not be the main source of tank. For example, I run a 7400 Shields Gunnlogi (with Ion) and 33% Resists, yes it cannot rep itself but it's pure buffer meaning it's great for taking point. Change a resist and add a light transporter? It becomes a great buffer but can also heal others, meaning two of these are wonderful. Same with Armor Tanks, they have useful high slots that can have many things, but one of the best things to have is a light transporter or If you're logi tanking, try and get a Heavy Transporter or better yet, two (I have that fit :P) King of the Forums // Seraphim <3 Comment and like this thread about PvE, Here! EDIT: Same question for Void Echo :P I have a rail sniper fit, but im the only one who can use it in the middle of the battle field, another tanker even said that im the only guy hes ever seen who uses a rail in the middle of infantry

I'm still working on the tank fitting, trying to get good result without such a kick to my own def's. use a small, it reps more than the regular heavy repper whiel saving on CPU/PG and alows you to use your own heavy repper +small transporter or buffer up and rely on each other easyest way to balance things out is to switch back and fourth between lead and rep tank 1 reps (even while not taking damage) and tank 2 shoots/stays in front to soak damage switch when rep stops and switch roles rinse and repeat or pair off so that one of you uses anti infantry and the other a railgun to cover all the bases, railgun will take all the instalation points and be the primary repper while taking pot shots from further behind with its longer range

Looking at things, I run logi tank. Can never find anyone else to turn a repper back my way in all honesty. I run using Madrugers with either Heavy sheild rep/light armor or Vice versa, I can survive with ease. trailing a standard tank who is mashing **** up. The problem comes when the enemy realizes what I'm up to and drop an Orbi, the one thing I can survive when caught offgaurd. Not all orbi's kill me but they always have that one suicide AV nader on hand. The good thing with following rather than side by side, is the amount of swarmers or AV naders who see tank NO.1 and get carried away, leaving me to clean up. I'm still learning, I will work on an actual spider tank, but for now, gotta perfect the logi 1st.
