I basically never ever ever use my proto gear, it's just there to look pretty (aside from my Ishukone forge), it's basically all advanced gear for me.
Who else wishes they could sit on their Merc Quarters couch to look for extra change?
One district makes 12-15 M isk per 24 hour period (assuming its not under attack). Im a director. And we own about 13 districts. Im not poor
Lol, no im kidding! I have about 73M right now, and I make it a point to never drop below 50M (ever since I last hit that mark) so I can honestly say that I do make money in this game, and only about 10M of that cash has been from PC battle profits. So yeah..... idk, ADV gear is tricky cuz it might be cheaper, but your also more fragile. I can make my proto suit profitable despite going solo in pub matches so I tend to stick with that. |

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO XOXOXOXOXOXO wrote:you need to learn how to run on a budget
run your proto/advanced fits when your with your corpmates
run your 40k+ fits on wed til you cap then run free-10k fits til next wed
if you run a proto suit at beginning of a match and die run free suits till next match so you profit still
My proto suit costs 270k per suit so if I die I lose money regardless of what I run for the rest of the match |

I already get really bored really quickly. some days I don't mind running my BPO stuff for lulz but I think it kind of defeats the purpose of the game to not be able to enjoy some of what I skilled into. ::shrugs:: I'd be fine with ISK if I hadn't become a dedicated dropship pilot when Uprising launched.
actually I think you can make that into something fun as well. What I like to do from time to time is take a budget like.... 20k and see what I can do with it and try to make a suit that's decent. This normally tends to work out honestly. Its not great for K/d but it is great for ISK efficiency. Not to mention that ive got sooooo many SP now. Even with out the god suits I can still take a standard caldari suit and make it into something that's good enough to compete with advanced suits. (and I have killed proto suits in it too, though that's much harder). So in a way..... you can take the challenge and make that fun! |

My beliefs about CCP never actually playing their own game continue to be proven. No one runs a laser except as a joke. Well, my Viziam begs to differ, I am just waiting for the new scope. I am sure I can find a few vets that remember the glory days.

I am sure I can find a few vets that remember the glory days. You know that the Viziam doesn't do any more damage than the regular one? it just takes longer to overheat...so you can build up heat longer...POTENTIALLY doing more damage...but you have to use up an entire clip just to do that :/ Using the extra pg/cpu for say a damage mod or two is the only way to actually do more damage with it sadly... Unless I am mistaken and am missing something. You are probably right, I am going to review all my fits and convert fully to armor tank/dmg mods when I get around to it. I have really just optimized my AR fit, it's what I benchmark the others against. Something I would love to see are stats and results per fit, but since every fit is customizable and constantly changing, it's really hard to imagine a simple overview.
Nonsense, just introduce "fitting saves" and you can stamp/save specific fits to a stat tracking archive (but lets say.... no more then 5 at a time can be tracked or whatever (to reduce load)). Whenever you use a fit that matches exactly it will add to the stats record of that suit. The stats don't even have to be that detailed. Like..... isk efficiency, k/d, w/l, and average points per match would be more then enough to monitor how effective a suit is. This feature would work for vets just fine, and it wouldn't really effect the nooblets too much. :/ you should probably get this idea put in..... just sayin. |
