Dust is a persistent shooter. To win implies that the game is over. Noone can "win" pc. You can be the largest landowner but that doesn't mean that you won. If owning land means that you won then Cronos "won" a while ago and how can two people entities win 1st place?
Right now, EoN is most powerful alliance but who knows what will happen. Maybe EoN corps may leave and new empires arise in their wake. Or, maybe there are some corps with talent that are just nurturing their skills and building sp. Dust is a persistent game so this will continue and may see a long EoN reign or another empire.
For me, pc isn't about just having battles. It's about earning ISK and settling disputes. You own territory and earnr ISK to fund your corp and its players. At the same time, if someone wants your real estate, they attack you and yu defend. Or, maybe someone talks smack on the forums...you attack their homeland. Or, maybe you don't like the way they play pubs....then you attack. And then wars happen when one thing goes too far. And that is how I view pc. It's persistence and not a race to see who will own the most land.
Just my 0.02 ISK because I'm reading people say EoN won pc and that implies that the game is over. But there is more to be had.
