Going to keep it short and sweet.
Why is the Scrambler Pistol's Fitting Optimization Skill giving a reduction to PG and not CPU? My Khanid Scrambler Pistol uses 48 CPU and 8 PG. That makes a (6x) skill conpletely redundant and a waste of SP. |

Yeah I agree it's useless. Though, it's the same for most weapons :/ |

They all reduce PG, except for the Flaylock because when CCP took their time to nerf it them they also took a look at the related skills and stumbled on this same problem. I'm guessing they will further differentiate the weapons related skills soonGäó, like Operation, proeficiency etc.. I believe the way they are now, mostly identical, is meant to be just a placeholder until they can take a good look at each weapon and fix appropriated skill bonuses to each one.
To put it simply, yeah it is a waste of SP and CCP would problaby change it into CPU reduction if they took their time to correct this, like they did to the flaylock. |

You'd think they could make such change very simply though. Or go by simple statistics.
Ex: If CPU > PG then Opt. skill = CPU Reduction
Likewise; If PG > CPU then Opt. skill = PG Reduction. |

Only problem with that theory is that there is not a single weapon in game with PG requirements greater than it's CPU requirement.
But yeah it's a virtually useless skill except for extremely dedicated armor tankers who need every bit of PG they can muster up. |

Weapon? If we're talking turrets the PG far exceeds the CPU, heheh. But yes, they might as well switch every weapon to a "5% reduction to CPU per level." |
