There is nothing more satisfying or fun then blowing up infantry with a rail turret. Namely watching the bodies fly from a direct impact. It can be rather comical.
Gonna try an infantry fit rail, no damage mods on my low, but 2 passive heatsinks along with an active, and the proto aur turret. Should be interesting. |

I hear ya there, shields are my baby though. Just don't have it in me to move over to the good side of tanking! |

I have to say, I have done some close up rail tanking before and it is way more satisfying blaping infantry with a rail gun than it is with a blaster. Especially when they think they can get all close and personal and then they just fly away after getting nailed by you.
Yes yes!
Played a match once where they tried to box me in with 2 other tanks. So seeing what was happening, I recalled mine. Then I ran to one of the other tankers just to mess with him, match was nearly over, and he runs back. So I think, hell might as well call in another one. Then I see him, and he recalled his. So the dude calls in an LAV, gets to a good spot, and starts firing off swarms. He was a good distance away from me, and was ducking behind a hill. But guess who got the last kill:) Me with a rail, they had been working on me the whole match! Must say, very satisfying. Almost better then sex. |

I know what you mean :/ For the longest time I was pure Shields, tried so hard to compete against other tanks but was reduced to a pathetic smouldering wreck in every PC battle. :(

See I just do mainly pubs, the few PC matches I did, yes I got destroyed. I did do a bit of damage though running a speed boost, it really makes a difference on my shields. |

Yes, I love my glass cannon, gets boring after a while though and I gotta switch up my fits. Think I've got 6 fits atm. Can't stand to do the same thing every match, drives me crazyy. |

Oh ****, the best part, I came in late and the blueberries were way behind. Quite literally the whole enemy team stopped playing to win and did nothing but try to destroy me. So guess who won that match:) Good fun match, oh and I was running freakin missiles at the start! 20-0 was my end score! |

Dude iv maxed my vehucle fits with diff tanks for very specific situations from mobile crus to close range brawlers that shread infantry as well as my falchion missile fits . Love the missile spam.
Hell yeah, same here. Been using missiles recently and kinda liking them, not saying they don't have problems, but it's better then just doing rails all the time. Plus my mitigation is top notch when I go with missiles.
Specing into enforcers atm, though I was thinking of dropping 3 pg upgrades in my lows to see how far I can go with my tank fit.
Did a mobile CRU fit the other day, didn't really like it, would be cool though if I had some team players. |

My best match to date with my primary fit has been 38-0. Was a complete pub stomp, the reds had to all of been new players. Once I helped my team secure the objective I spent most of the match patrolling the red line with the infantry with the occasional militia AV being thrown my way. I felt kind of bad about it, but what are you going to do.
Soak it up, doesn't happen often at all!

For every match that I've not lost a tank there is at least one or two where I have lost some. Most matches lucky to get 10 kills before I'm forced to spend most of the time hiding and doing sneak attacks in out of the way places to help the team.
Sums up my tanking experience nicely, hell nowadays I pull out a rail from the start and switch over if it seems safe. Usually not so usally I stay in the hills.
Blueberries though man, ohh man. I fing hate blueberries in my tank when I sniper tank. And they won't stop firing! Why. What is wrong with you blueberry. Oh you're a blueberry, you aren't even a real human being. Just a blueberry that has no idea anything is happening. |

Other than that ill be on the fronr eithr shredding (blasters) incinerating (missiles) or vaporising (rails) on the front line. I love getti g 20+kills with a rail all within 60m of my tank . That's a good feeling thought. I don't use my rail tank as much as my blaster fit. But there is just something really fun about getting close range rail kills.
It is the best.
I actually have a rail tank fit with 2 pg boosters and my best mods. Tough rail tank, good for killin glass cannon fits. |

My shields are at 5400, with 33% resist, unless I used a small aztropic extender in place of my active heatsink. Love that heatsink though. Still need to test out my passive heatsink fit. |

Man, always hate getting blown up by one in a close range engagement. Running missiles mostly atm, so I've been trying, but a good fit maddie eats em up. Man if I got one though, that kill would be sweeeet. |

Was thinking passives with an active. Trying it on my Proto compressed first to see how many more shots I can get from it. Just wanna test the passives out.
Need to look into running a heavy damage missile. hmmmm |

Plus an active scanner, that thing has saved my tank I don't know how many times. I used to have a Damage Control instead of the active scanner, but it has at least doubled my survivability. Plus it helps my team know some of the best places to focus on.
Wish I could use a scanner. My wheel usually only consists of 2 things, a heal and a heatsink/speed booster. Buddy of mine, Lone - Wolf let me run around in one of his. IT was awesome. So many things to turn on. Felt like a tank. |

If your using missiles try nit to out yoirself in anywhare where you dont habe a good 100m roind you . I verry rarely get up close to other tanks with missiles . If you can keep the maddy at about 150m then its blasters will be usless against your shields and your missiles will shread their armour.
Oh I know man, and I try. I always run a speed boost but man maddies. They are faster even with my speed boost. Usually I pull in a rails to deal with them. But the few times I've tried, I have not had much success. Still workin on it. And man do blasters hurt, never ever do I go against a maddie if I run blasters. I call it suicide. |

High tank low gank I keep telling folks a tank that lives will carry on doing dammage no matter what grade its turrets are.
Have a fit with proto aur missiles, got a speed booster on that setup. Hate losing it, way to useful for a bit of extra damage I would think. |

You should, an active tracking computer or whatever the mod is called, can't remember right now, is awesome. Makes a rail gun spin like a blaster.
Well, gonna have to go play the game now and make some new fits.
Hope to see ya out there! |
