Gonna try an infantry fit rail, no damage mods on my low, but 2 passive heatsinks along with an active, and the proto aur turret. Should be interesting.
I have to say, I have done some close up rail tanking before and it is way more satisfying blaping infantry with a rail gun than it is with a blaster. Especially when they think they can get all close and personal and then they just fly away after getting nailed by you. |

So seeing what was happening, I recalled mine. Then I ran to one of the other tankers just to mess with him, match was nearly over, and he runs back. So I think, hell might as well call in another one. Then I see him, and he recalled his. So the dude calls in an LAV, gets to a good spot, and starts firing off swarms. He was a good distance away from me, and was ducking behind a hill. But guess who got the last kill:) Me with a rail, they had been working on me the whole match! Must say, very satisfying. Almost better then sex.
It is really satisfying when you've pissed the reds off so much that the only thing they worry about is trying to kill you. While very satisfying, it becomes very dangerous. |

I'm pretty sure I ran into you in a pub match. You were rocking the shield enforcer with a rail. You got my glass cannon fit, but I killed two other tanks that battle so I called it a win.
I really wanted to pay you back for my lost tank, but a second tank came at me when I was getting ready to come after you so I had to settle for him instead of you. I always like testing myself against some of the top tankers, to see where I'm at in comparison. |

Oh ****, the best part, I came in late and the blueberries were way behind. Quite literally the whole enemy team stopped playing to win and did nothing but try to destroy me. So guess who won that match:) Good fun match, oh and I was running freakin missiles at the start! 20-0 was my end score!
My best match to date with my primary fit has been 38-0. Was a complete pub stomp, the reds had to all of been new players. Once I helped my team secure the objective I spent most of the match patrolling the red line with the infantry with the occasional militia AV being thrown my way. I felt kind of bad about it, but what are you going to do. |

Amen to that brother. For every match that I've not lost a tank there is at least one or two where I have lost some. Most matches lucky to get 10 kills before I'm forced to spend most of the time hiding and doing sneak attacks in out of the way places to help the team. |

I almost had you at the end I remember getting another bead on you from your left flank when you were malkying one of the pack but alass the game ended and you got to keep it
Yep. Was close, I came around a corning expecting to see you, but then saw an armor tank bearing down on me. I had to make a fast choice and the other tank provided me with a route of escape while fighting him so he was the best choice. Unfortunately that match was one of the rare times I called in a tank solo, might have been a different match if I had been in a squad. |

Sadly I have rail sniped as well. Normally if solo, or when there is another rail sniping tank somewhere. Hard to mix it up with the infantry when being bombarded from the hills. |

Most matches lucky to get 10 kills before I'm forced to spend most of the time hiding and doing sneak attacks in out of the way places to help the team. Sums up my tanking experience nicely, hell nowadays I pull out a rail from the start and switch over if it seems safe. Usually not so usally I stay in the hills. Blueberries though man, ohh man. I fing hate blueberries in my tank when I sniper tank. And they won't stop firing! Why. What is wrong with you blueberry. Oh you're a blueberry, you aren't even a real human being. Just a blueberry that has no idea anything is happening.
Was playing a match last night with my corp. Two of us were tankers, so we both called in our tanks. Me in my blaster maddy, and him in a missle maddy. About half way through the match the infantry in our squad says they need some more guns directly on the objectives. It was line harvest, so most of the objectives where out of our line of fire. Neither of us could recall our tanks to help out because both of us had at least one blue in our tanks we couldn't communicate with.
Sadly we lost that match. Didn't lose our tanks and almost cloned the enemy team, but lost it we still did. Was kind of frustrating. |

That's a good feeling thought. I don't use my rail tank as much as my blaster fit. But there is just something really fun about getting close range rail kills.
Edit: I almost never run solo, can't stand it. Squads communicating is way more effective than relying on randoms for anything. |

I actually have a rail tank fit with 2 pg boosters and my best mods. Tough rail tank, good for killin glass cannon fits .
I'm primarily a blaster tanker, but rails do have a special place in my heart. If nothing else than because it makes me laugh so hard to kill infantry at close range with the weapon. |

To be honest, its been a long time sense I've called in any of my shield tanks. Kind of miss the old girl sometimes, but I've found I love having utility high slots. |

I have fallen in love with using active heat sinks, I mean who hasn't. Plus an active scanner, that thing has saved my tank I don't know how many times. I used to have a Damage Control instead of the active scanner, but it has at least doubled my survivability. Plus it helps my team know some of the best places to focus on. |

Buddy of mine, Lone - Wolf let me run around in one of his. IT was awesome. So many things to turn on. Felt like a tank.
I know, armor tanks have a lot to keep track of. But got to love that active scanner. But this discussion makes me want to pull my old gunnlogi out and give her a spin. I might tonight. |

Love that heatsink though. Still need to test out my passive heatsink fit. I only use the heat sync on my glass cannon. Or maddy blaster. Passives are crap for rails better for blasters. Was thinking passives with an active. Trying it on my Proto compressed first to see how many more shots I can get from it. Just wanna test the passives out. Need to look into running a heavy damage missile. hmmmm 1 10% dammage mod is good if your using proto missiles but if not then concentrait on speed and resistane. High tank low gank I keep telling folks a tank that lives will carry on doing dammage no matter what grade its turrets are.
Sing it! I don't really understand some people who down grade there defenses in favor of slight damage increases. I've taken down a lot of tanks that do just that, and it doesn't make any sense to me. |

You should, an active tracking computer or whatever the mod is called, can't remember right now, is awesome. Makes a rail gun spin like a blaster. |
