CCP--reducing clutter from the screen is a great objective, but this change will unnecessarily burden logistics mercs' jobs. It's genuinely great that you guys have buffed more "ninja" roles by only allowing active scanner to share results across the squad as well. It's just that it is already extremely difficult to triage mercs when they're bunched up, and then you have to hope that you lock the repair tool on the right guy before he runs off or someone else runs in the way and poaches the repair stream.
So, isn't it at all possible for the repair tool to have a built-in benefit so that whenever it is out (equipped and ready to use) it would display the health bars of all friendlies within its operating range? It would reduce clutter from outside its range and it wouldn't show enemies (or their health bars) who are within range and NOT being aimed at. (Any enemy that you'd aim at would display his or her health bar.)
Otherwise, it's just going to be hard to do our jobs. We already push ourselves by running out for a res, running through fire to get to someone who's being injured. Don't make it harder on us to see who that is. |
