I've played against TeamPlayers in a PC battle just last night, and saw this "glitch" used by your guys over and over again for most of the match. Most Melee kills I've ever seen in a game of Dust 514, let alone PC.
I mean, it's part of the game right now so I don't really care, but please don't be so blatantly hypocritical. |

Nah, don't get me wrong, the "melee glitch" had nothing to do with whether or not you won the battle. Nor do I have anything against using supposed "OP" gear for PC. I mean, the balance of the game blows, and IMO makes PC suck because everyone is compelled to use the cheese, but that's not really relevant.
We lost that match (was not a subdreddit battle btw) because half the people in that match didn't even have comms. It was clear going in that we were going to lose, and lose badly.
I'm not saying "**** TeamPlayers for using the melee glitch," I'm saying "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."
Keep using the glitch, I truly couldn't care less, but your guys should try not to be hypocrites about it and complain when others are using it... especially considering I've never seen it used more than it is used by TeamPlayers. That's all. |

That's all. wtf seriously? the only people who have ever used it was annie and calamity, and they quit a while ago. ive seen TPs use it once or twice, but ive never seen anyone primary it like this, no one has ever used it like Arirana has been. I'm not sure where you are getting this from.
Well, I can only speak from personal experience. The match we played against TP they got probably 15 or so melee kills with the "glitch." Not an insane "primary usage" or anything. If some other crew is literally running around using the "glitch" as their primary mode of attack, then I suppose that would pretty clearly mean they use it more than TP... I just haven't seen it myself.
All I'm saying, is that if your corp is using something as part of their usual arsenal, they probably shouldn't complain about other people using it... even of those others are using it more. This is PC afterall, and the point is to win right?
Clearly, TP don't have a problem with using the glitch, because like I said, (at least in my limited experience playing against them) they use it as if it's a completely fair and normal part of the game. If you're not arguing that it shouldn't be used, it's a bit silly to argue about how much it should be used. Either it's a glitch that no one should be using, or it's not. You can't use it when it suits you, but then get upset when others use it in a way that suits them. |

Well, it's either a "glitch" and no one should be using it at all, or it's just a part of the game and we should expect some people to specialize in it.
I know it's not fair to generalize a whole corp of players based on a single match played against some of their members, and I'm probably at least a bit guilty of doing so with my comments. Still, my point stands, if your own guys are using it as a normal and acceptable part of gameplay, then complaining about it is really just another "so-and-so spams OP strats" argument rather than a "so-and-so cheats" argument.
If you're simply saying this Ari guy is a "cheap" player, then so be it. I think that's a ***** argument and he's whipping you fair and square, but there's nothing necessarily illogical or hypocritical about your statement.
If you're saying that he's a cheater, then so are multiple guys in your corp. A cheater is a cheater, the frequency at which one cheats is irrelevant. |

No, you're completely missing my point. My opinion on the "melee glitch" is completely and entirely irrelevant. In fact, I haven't even mentioned what my opinion on the subject is.
If Exo agrees that using the exploit is cheating, then he agrees that he has cheaters in his corp.
If he doesn't agree that using the exploit is cheating, then he's simply whining about someone using a non-exploit "too much." |

Just to be clear - you've witness/heard that TP members have been abusing the glitch enough to be concerned - or did they just troll an already losing game?
I've seen it first hand being used. My corp mates saw it being used. Whether or not it was "enough to be concerned" or "just trolling" is completely and utterly irrelevant to whether or not it was being used. Cheating is cheating is cheating. So, if you, exo, or anyone else considers the glitch "cheating," I don't see how TP can excuse themselves from the same criticisms. Anyone can say "we were going to win anyway" or "we were going to lose anyway" about any given match, does that mean they are then allowed to cheat at will?
Again, I am most certainly not calling out TP as cheaters. I'm simply saying that if others consider the "melee glitch" to be "cheating," then as far as I'm concerned that person then considers at least some members of TP to be cheaters as well. I'm extrapolating the comments and opinions made by others to their logical conclusion.
Personally, I really don't care one way or the other. Is it a cheap tactic? Yeah. But, 95% of PC boils down to utilizing cheap tactics. That's one of the main reasons I find the mode to be so awful. When so many resources are on the line, everyone plays as cheaply as possible, and in a game with map design and gameplay balance that is this terrible, it just becomes unbearably bland and predictable. You're left either practicing to become the best cheesers in the game, or doing poorly. Variety is discouraged due to bad game design. |
