 I like to start off this thread just by comparing these two vehicle. I am not taking in account that the python flies while the Charybdis is a land vehicle. All of this information is off of http://wiki.dust514.info/index.php?title=Light_Attack_Vehicles and http://wiki.dust514.info/index.php?title=Dropships these states may be outdated or different then is the real game. This tread is create just so that us the players may look at the states and share their opinions on it. I have played many matches with both vehicles and will share my thoughts down below. I will start with caldari python first.
 
 Caldari python. Caldari Charybdis
 Shields: 1075. Shields: 2100
 Armor: 770. Armor: 884
 Recharge rate: 24 recharge rate:21
 Meta level: 4 Meta level:3
 CPU: 271. CPU:185
 PG: 470. PG:170
 High powered modules: 4 high powered modules:4
 Low powered modules: 2 Low powered modules:2
 Passengers:4 passengers:2
 Turrets: 2. Turrets:1
 Price:4943335isk. Price:84000isk
 
 Initial thoughts: well to me at these to vehicles are roughly the same based on states. But the major differences are in the python. The python is about 5 times more expensive and has about 1000 less shields. The python also has a significant more amount of CPU and PG.
 After playing many matches with both vehicles I must say I think the Charybdis is way better. With the 1000 extra shield, and the ability to hide behind rocks and building also the speed that makes it hard to hit the Charybdis has a higher survive ability. One of the things that makes me turn to the Charybdis side is that is 5 times cheaper. If I lose one its not a big deal. I can just buy one next round with the isk I earned. If I lose a python I have to wait 3 or 4 rounds(depending on the modules) before i can use anther. So I have to say that In my opinion the Charybdis is better. Feel free to agree or disagree and tell me why. I really want to see what the community take on these two vehicles are.

 I want an atomic nerf to the price of dropships!!!!! My incubus costs around 700k isk, that means I have to work for about 3-4 rounds of straight profit to buy one :(

 Charybdis also has a base resistance of 35-37%(max skills), correct me if im wrong. These are two completely different vehicle types however so its hard to actually compare them. I prefer the ads simply because you can get kills with out running people over.

 What really needs to be done is to make running people over completely unviable but in turn make vehicle turrets much more efficient and powerful.

 Yeah, I agree with you. Running over people is extremely annoying to play against. Buffing the vehicles turrets is an interesting idea. But I think if they buffed the turret and fixed the running over mechanics then it would be better for all of us. Thanks for the feedback

 Turrets do not need to be buffed. Only thing needed to fix dropships is way more hp/resists.

 You know, dont bother with boosters on your dropships.
 
 Just stack as many shield extenders as possible and then resists.
 
 Have at least two of the same python and when one takes damage, land somewhere and call in the other one, before you recall the current one.
 
 That's what I have been doing with my logi LAV and it works well.
