Hail the KB/M master race.
Is the DS3 still slow as hell and have lots of input lag?
Quote:* Removed rotation modifier on heavy frames - all frames can now rotate at the same speed
So does this apply to all suits or just the heavy frame? |

They nerfed the Mouse... it didn't make the HUGE difference that SOME people thought it will make .. now they getting the Mouse back to normal with conclusive data ...
STFU ... the mouse is not ,and wasn't OP to start with. |

Only reason I believe it is better than DS3 is because the DS3 is slow as hell while the mouse is super fast when it comes to turning speeds. Not only that but due to how WSAD works winning a CQC gunfight with a KB/M is super easy by spamming A,D (part of the reason why I think strafing and ADS strafing should be way slower) |

Let me ask you one thing ... Did you try using the Mouse ? if so... Do you do ALLOT better with the mouse ? or about the same as with the DS3 ? Because i done the direct comparison myself.. and my scores are very similar with both. Most of my kills are Tactical Awareness... not Mouse or DS3 use. |

Yes I have tried, and aside from it being impossible to use equipment my accuracy was a lot better and I was able to react to people around me a lot better. |

DS3 is getting aim assist back. Mouse users get no aim assist at all, so we have to be precise while you have to aim in the general direction of the enemy and aim assist does the rest .
How about you wait until the patch before complaining? You guys will find anything to make an outrage about well before you've even tried it. |

It is widely widely WIDELY known that mechanically a mouse is superior to a controllers analogs stick for aiming in pretty much every way possible, thats why you usually dont see companies trying to mash both control options into one game
Its like playing a fighting game where your character always has half the health of your opponent, can you still win? Yeah but its going to be a lot harder than if you were evenly matched in health |

tried it. my friend tried it. strafing is real easy with the keyboard making CQC a lot less painful as a scout suit. |

We shall see. I am unconvinced this will change anything performance wise. The equipment switching was/is atrocious with the mouse, this better of gotten way better.

I switched from the DS3 to a mouse and yes I do ALOT better. This is all just anecdotal evidence because we all have different skills with each input device. But personally, I am not going to believe that a DS3 can be as effective as a mouse unless I see prove of it (as in a video of a DS3 user playing as impressively as it is possible for a skilled player with a mouse).
I enjoy playing DUST with a mouse and I came to believe that it's not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things (DUST is not a "fair" competition game anyway). But I can't do it in good conscience without speaking out whenever somebody tries to downplay the advantage we mouse users have.
Also, I completely agree that DS3 turning speed is WAY too low. It's really slow compared to a game like BF3, and that just makes it that much harder to compete with mouse users. I really hope that this situation will be improved soon for DS3 users. Combined with good aim assists, it could make the DS3 a whole lot more competitive. |

The biggest problem is with the controller itself. The DS3 has a lot of deadzones (places on the joystick where your input is not recognized) That is one of the reasons I am looking forward to the DS4 because from what I have heard is that it greatly reduced the amount of deadzones so that it makes it better for shooters. |

Actually I heard that the deadzone is a software issue, to account for potential mechanical defects. DUST is already very unusual in that it allows mouse input and even gives us quality settings... So why not allow us to tweak the DS3 deadzone as well, so people with tight controllers can get a bit of an advantage. |

That is partially true, the deadzones are there but the software is usually clever and is able to hide it. However when it comes to Dust 514 there are two types of players controllers vs kb/m in which kb/m don't have deadzones and puts them at an unfair advantage that is where the problem is. |
