I would like an update on this. I was under the impression that matches where I score less than 100 WPs did not count towards this event, win or lose.
If what IWS says is true- "If you scored less than 100 WPs and your team won, they won despite you." "If you scored less than 100 WPs and your team lost, they lost because of you."
This is beginning to feel like another mishandled DUST event. |

If most of us are interpreting the dev blog in one particular way (have a glance at the announcement thread for such evidence) then fault lies in the author(s) of the dev blog for being extremely misleading. I don't really care about which way the event really works, but the poor rewards coupled with, once again, poor communication on the devs' part is leaving a bad taste.
I filed a petition for clarification, as this thread is the first instance I've heard of the win / non-win understanding of the rules. |

Just to confirm with you, battles that you earn 100 War Points or less do not count to the win/loss ratio. If you have any further issues, or questions regarding DUST 514, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Seymor Krelborn wrote:IWS you are wrong on this....you need to go talk to a dev get a straight answer and post here, since you've spread misinformation... as a CPM this is your responsibility now, since you've added to the confusion. Hey guys, let's not alienate the few people who are actually communicating with CCP.

Hey guys, let's not alienate the few people who are actually communicating with CCP. Alienating? Explain yourself...It seems like Seymor Krelborn is 100% correct in his statement.... This thread (and a second one) was bumped by me on purpose while IWS was active on the forums but it just seems to be another post-and-ignore-later-comments-CCP-style-thread. We're used to it now, but spreading misinformation is a no-go some of us just want to set it straight (and give a hint about how bad their communcation is). I don't feel that CPM needs to communicate with us on these issues and stuff, it's the job of CCP to do that. CPM should be too busy voicing the concerns,.... of the community to CCP. Sure they can communicate with us, but leave CCPs communication to CCP (hopefully they will learn one day)...what else is CPM going to say beside copy/paste from CCP, vague timelines or "we're under NDA"? My apologies. What I meant was that we shouldn't be backing members of CPM into a corner. Just because we're probably in the right (CCP Shanghai is known for changing the rules midway through an event, and there's been contradictions from them on this absurdly small event, take a second look at the GM response I received) doesn't justify our abrasiveness. |
