I've got most of my skills up to level 3 and ADV fits feel fine. As I would like to spec into vehicles as well, I'm not sure about getting proto gear. Should I bother?
Also, I really don't want to be a protostomping anal goblin. There are far too many of those out there already. :P |

Unless you plan on running Planetary Conquest battles soon, I wouldn't bother. Get your core skills and modules up |

Proto suits my playstyle since I strive to minimize my deaths more than worry about how many people I kill.
Advanced fits works for a lot of people so if you're investing heavily into vehicles then it should be enough.
No matter what I spec into though, I always want the best. MOAR POWAH! |

Well if you're fine now, imagine when you get proto. You would be a monster terrorizing people. Go for it. It's a badge of honor to the right ones who wear it. |

Proto suits? Not really. Proto weapons? Again not really Proto mods? Mostly Proto equipment? Mostly
Max out 90% of dropsuit upgrades section and proto suits will become very situational. At least that is my perspective |

Proto suits have no more HP than the Standards. It's all CPU, PG, and more slots.
Proto weapons are usually about like having an Advanced with a Complex module on it.
Proto modules and equipment will make even Militia Scout suits into (lesser) juggernauts.
Max out all 4 Dropsuit Core Upgrades. Electronics and Engineering to at least 3 each. Shield Extension and Armor Repair Systems to 5s is also highly suggested before putting SP in spongy Protos. |

Nope.
Gear improvement is linear through tiers Gear cost is exponential through tiers
All-standard or all-BPO is the way to get rich, prototype is the way to destroy your wallet while stroking worthless stats. |

Nope. Just get an advanced with complex shields/damege mods/armor and your good to go. Also get enhanced shield regulators and enhanced armor reppers depending on what you specialize in. |

It is true, he does not understand the power of having those 4X Shield Extenders, the Duvolles, and the Complex Regulators.
He is lost.
Proto is like touching god.
