Nobody knows meta like this quickgloves dude. Some people are joining the fights because, well, they are bored. Some people really dont care about 1-2-3 months + down the road, as many know for a fact they are moving on and never looking back.
Thats cool, everyone has their own agenda. Who knows what is true, or false. If your brain works, you can figure it out for the most part who the stand up dudes are and who are the snakes in the grass waiting to backstab and betray at the first opportunity.
Had the coalition had a new face as a "leader", a new name, fresh with no bad reputation, then maybe the "coalition" would be a bit stronger.
Whatever the motives, whatever the future outcome, in the present.. there is something to do, something to fight for, and for some people.. thats all they need.

people whom think that the entire point of this war is to take the land that eon holds would be mistaken. sure, land will slowly change hands over the next week(s), and eon will take some of it back. that's fine. the point of this war is that eon will not exist at the end. people will leave eon corps, and corps will leave eon as long as fec can keep the pressure on.
mercenaries fighting with fec have to realize that every time someone from eon tries to dissuade fec from the war, it is a small victory for fec. if eon corps were really just raking in the isk, why would they tell us to stop wasting our isk? sure, they are benefiting from this war in the short term run, but after eon's districts are taken that cuts off a primary source of their revenue. that is why they attempt to lower our morale and convince us to quit fighting. they have fear, and it's extremely important that we sense that and use it to empower our cause.
quickgloves wants this war to stop because he knows the war will not end at eon's fall. the many districts that stb owns will be next in the cross-hairs. he has fear as well. that is his motivation to lower fec's morale.
if fec stops the attacks today, that is a clear victory for eon and stb. if fec stops today, then all the isk has been wasted. have patience and determination mercenaries. understand their fears and capitalize on them. and enjoy the battles, win or lose, because without them, our submission has returned Paragraph 3 is my favorite with 4 as a runner up. I honestly think this war will last longer than a week or two. The FEC is becoming less of an army and more of a revolution. Sure. Our side could exhaust fundings one day but that wouldn't stop the war from happening. It'll be perpetual until either Eon leaves, has less land, or just becomes non-existent. Any and everyone who has a non-major corp OR has been on a non-major corp won't see them in a good light no matter what they say because at the end of the day most of Molden Heath belongs to them. As for me, You can cut this mercenary's throat but you can't take away his spirit. Out of Context: Weren't you spewing crap about us being puppets the other night? I find it hard to believe that we're being controlled or even manipulated when we want this. We pick our own fights, choose our own ringers, and fight our own battles to the best of our ability.
And if the evil mastermind behind this all does come to some sort of power with his back handed double dealing, whose to say he isnt next? :) |

I agree with most of what you wrote.
But the quoted... are you suggesting people are not supposed to formulate opinions on a player based on his words (forums) and actions (in game)? We are not allowed to make up our minds unless we fly to Detroit (probably) and shake the neckbeards hand in person? cant tell if sirius
as I said the meta is most strong with this quickgloves dude and his dubious intentions :) Dubious. |

When I left my last corp "just cause I didnt like it there" I gained a few new enemies. I didnt awox, didnt really make a scene, just said my piece and left. Imagine if I backstabbed, betrayed, and spat in their faces, and was the leader of a corp that owned districts? Ya I wouldnt be liked too much around here either lol. Just some forum debating and trolling gets people to "hate" you. The "hiring mercanaries" response that you all seem to like so much can work both ways, and in this case I hope it does :)
The coalition against EoN is a pretty righteous idea everyone would agree. Both sides wanted it to happen. It serves a purpose that makes sense to alot of people. Wether it is a smart idea, or carried out in a constuctive manner, or even successful doesnt matter. It has brought at least some semblence of enjoyment to a very dismal game for a very small community. Those who would look to sabotage this ideal of fair play directly and openly will certainly make it to the top of the hit list and maybe even rub people the wrong way on both sides of the equation. Who knows what will play out in the future of this game, but the meta-game if you call it that will not be a bland one. As much as I dislike the meta aspect at times, its pretty cool that this is the only shooter that has one. |
