Your spam on threads regarding these 2 weapons will end in a HEAVY nerf on both of them.
BOTH of them are easy to use.BOTH of them kill way too effectively. But it seems im the only one that doesnt have a problem with this.
I would prefer to leave them BOTH as they are and buff the rest of the weapons but if you insist, here are some fixes to balance both weapons:
MD: Reducing the splash damage to 90-100 per slug, keeping blast radius the same. Increasing direct hit damage to 350-400 for standard ones and about 550+ for the BREACH one. Giving it Flaylock pistol shooting Arc for increased Direct hit chance.
This way MD wont be able to just KILL you with 2 slugs shooting at the floor, thing that seems to be the problem here.
AR's: Regular ones:Revert damage back to how it was in chromosome. As ia recall the damage was around 31.5 - 35 . More than enough i say avoiding the spray and pray lucky hit kills. THIS or give the damn gun a recoil to work with XD. Buff Burst and breach to usable levels.
There both weapons still very good. Both weapons doing what they are intended to do but without the huge gap in effectiveness they have with other weapons.
Understand that starting a Nerf war for ARs and MD in the forums will end BAD... FOR BOTH SIDES... So better think of balancing options , thinking from an objective point of view, for the better of the game we play and like. My 2 cents. |

Unfortunately a few MD users are bitter about the of AR thinking MD needs nerf, most of us just try to protect our weapon sorry you feel like this!!

MD is no where near OP.....it's just a close range weapon that is easy to use .......everyone need to stop saying oh~I'm getting kill by this weapon too much ~so nerf this and nerf that~ the only thing that should be nerf right now is the impact dmg on the vehicle ...... |

The Burst and Breach are actually pretty balanced given their role as Gallentean knockoffs of the Combat and Rail Rifles. It's the Tactical and the Assault that are abit too good. |

Current FOTM is close-range MDs which requires little 'aim' or accounting for 'arc' ... long-range MD users have my respect because it does actually take skill; I'd personally suggest the only change made, if any, be to have a minimum 'arming distance'.
The rise of MD FOTM is the direct result of CFP / Contact Grenade nerfs. People have flocked to it because it is, like their FOTM predecessors, a high-alpha, high-ROF, spray-and-pray effective CQC weapon that causes people to cry "OP" because it ******* sucks getting killed by something for which there is no hard-counter.
Speaking of which... if you want to predict future FOTMs, it will be "high-alpha + high-ROF (i.e. really high DPS), spray-and-pray effective CQC weapon" ... every FOTM since Uprising has fulfilled these criteria. What makes them OP is that 'balance' demands tradeoffs, and with these criteria fulfilled, there is no need to trade off anything. The only thing left to balance by is Range, which is of secondary concern.
You can hard counter an AR with any number of things depending on the situation. Fixing the wonky shotgun hit detection would help it become a hard counter, but no-aim-needed-at-CQC MD will still win that fight every time which is slightly broken. While it is harder to fit than a CFP, MD is just as bad as dual-wield CFP at close range due to the clip size and I can see CCP treating the weapon the same way.
Not crying for a nerf at all... but that's why the MD will be nerfed. |

on paper the MD seems fine, in practice all explosives, grenades included are not. |

Chuck a one second hold on fire if the MD user catches themselves in the blast. Or actually make the blast radius of the MD the same for hitting the user as hitting other people (currenly it's half the size) |
