It is really funny to see infantry whining about mass drivers when they also stack like 600 shields. no skill you say? lol
how about us tankers? we have been dealing with lock on swarms for a year without any kind of countermeasures and all we hear is HTFU. Looks like now there is something that can kill infantry whether or not the guy can aim and all i see are sweet sweet tears.
looks like its time for infantry to harden the **** up |

With 2-3 damage mods and level 4 proficiency you would be looking at aroudn 160 splash or so. Then you are supposed to apply a 30% penalty vs shields. I don't think that penalty is applying in every case, I think Aeon Amadi has proven that is the case as well.
its just buggy....it is like swarms for vehicle users...the guy could be in front of you and fire swarms only to have them fly straight past your tank, do a 180 on a dime and hit you in the engine for max damage....just....really buggy.
dont forget convenient 120 degree turns around cover to still hit your tank anyway lol |

it would be interesting to test to see if an explosion over someone's head would register as a head shot and multiply because the ehad is naturally the first thing to get hit....would make for some nice skill shots on the roofs of hallways or just a little elevated above a merc against a wall |

looks like its time for infantry to harden the **** up HTFU. Learn to shoot. freakn tankers going around in 8000+ HP behemoths and they still want FGs and Swarms nerfed. LOOOOOOOL
1 - have been for a year
2 - i was #1 on the global leaderbaords during one of the closed beta builds
3 - cant put that much hp on a tank with a straight face
4 - i dont want forges nerfed, i want to scrap my small and large turrets and install one on my tank |

btw, im partial to skill shot weapons like the scrambler pistol and flaylock and PC, i feel if i can just be better than the other guy, flaylocks offer way more damage potential thn an ar. i do pretty well with it too, the only thing holding me back from a stellar KD is the militia gear im rollin around in cause all my sp went into tanks |

Its been well proven that the dev blog is wrong in this case. Its still 135% to armor and (supposedly) 70% to shields. Aye definitely needs fixing, that'll reduce the hate somewhat Something like 70% shields and 105% armor would be more appropriate imo... but im a little jaded about flaylocks and MDs at this point. I can understand bitterness to explosives in general but that damage profile is a bit unfair, besides additional armour, paired with fixed hit detection will mostly sweep this under the rug by october.
not so sure....think i heard somewhere that energy weps do 120% on shields and explosives do 135% on armor....yeah.....good times.....lock on swarms.... |
