Something tells me we're going to see a repeat of the BoB and t20 scandal in a month or two. Woah woah there; There was some nice positive information in there (even if we are going to war with each other), and the "rick roll" was just a little side joke, not the premise of the entire speech. It's not like his joke invalidates anything he has to say originally. Next time, calm down and just read the details, don't let your emotions fool you.
the details: dipshit made a joke. dev's come in here and comment on the joke. devs stalwartly refuse to speak in any topics about the future of their game.
the joke made: it hasn't been funny in almost a decade.
the punchline: that's just how out of touch CCP is. Or, they have people with a vested interest in seeing EoN succeed, and have been feeding them exactly how certain exploits work for months. It would explain how they know all the newest exploits the moment a patch drops. not within a day, within 15 minutes of a patch, some EoN prick is already using the newest glitch in the system to cheat their way to the top. this would suggest that someone is going through every patch in advance and checking the code for exactly how every little thing works, or insider information from someone who's been playing the dev build for the month prior. |

sure, as soon as I can borrow your unhittable units(railgun to the chest for some reason only did the splash to him. and yes, it was a dead on hit, because the only other option was about half a kilometer of empty air, and he was standing still.) meleecheat scout(yeah, 6 melees in a second is cheating, I don't care how you phrase it.) and mystery lag from hell every time I shoot at you. seriously. you people stand still and for some reason, only 3 of the 120 HMG rounds I put through your spine do any damage, from 10 feet away.
now, I might not be a sniper, but I can hit an assault that's standing still at that distance with ease, as I pull this same shot regularly, and the other people I fight, with the exception of foreign players(who also lag like shite), tend to die, as they should when around 1900 damage gets shoved into their rectum. your guys take about 20 damage, turn, and I die almost instantly even though I'm rocking just under 1k EHP on my standard fatsuit(I'm a tanker primarily, sue me)
Cheating single player? don't care. cheating in multiplayer? that's just pathetic. You're like every soccer player ever, flopping on the field anytime anyone looks at you funny and saying that they hit you. and when someone calls you on your bullshit you go "How dare you! I'm famous/I tell myself I'm good at a ****ty game, I would never cheat!"

Please read.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DunningGÇôKruger_effect
The DunningGÇôKruger effect
The DunningGÇôKruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes.[1]
Actual competence may weaken self-confidence, as competent individuals may falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. David Dunning and Justin Kruger of Cornell University conclude, "the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others".[2] The phenomenon was first tested in a series of experiments performed by Dunning and Kruger.[2][3] Dunning and Kruger noted earlier studies suggesting that ignorance of standards of performance is behind a great deal of incompetence. This pattern was seen in studies of skills as diverse as reading comprehension, operating a motor vehicle, and playing chess or tennis.
Dunning and Kruger proposed that, for a given skill, incompetent people will:
tend to overestimate their own level of skill; fail to recognize genuine skill in others; fail to recognize the extremity of their inadequacy; recognize and acknowledge their own previous lack of skill, if they are exposed to training for that skill. Dunning has since drawn an analogy ("the anosognosia of everyday life")[1][4] with a condition in which a person who suffers a physical disability because of brain injury seems unaware of or denies the existence of the disability, even for dramatic impairments such as blindness or paralysis. |

No my good friend, you misunderstand.
You're unskilled because you clearly have either terrible aim, terrible luck, a terrible Internet connection, or a combination of all or some of these, and you are unable to find a way to deal with said obstacle, and thusly blame others for "cheating".

well, seeing as previous data supports my aim being sufficient at the specified distance and conditions, it is either my luck, or my internet, neither of which I can change. my luck because luck is an abstract concept born of a need to try and define random chance, when it is just that, random. My internet because I only rent a room.
now if I could change abstract concepts, or had enough to spring for some decent internet, pay rent, and eat people food, then hey, I'll suck it up and just sit in my tank since my aim isn't the best, but with my rail firing when I fire it, not 2 seconds(on average) after it doesn't entirely need to be.
there's a quote that I partially recall. goes something like: The fields in which I am an unparalleled expert are exceedingly few, and the fields in which I am invariably inept are numbered beyond measure.
unfortunately, FPS games fall right between those two. not great, better than terrible. then again, I can throw knives, fire a recurve bow accurately, and I can make a chicken fettuccine alfredo that would bring tears to your eyes. so should they ever make a game where I can do all that, watch out.
I'm going to go sit on a mountain with my tank now. |

In the matter of your current financial situation, i feel for you. Hopefully come sept 3rd the aiming is fixed. My swarms can't wait to meet your tank on the mountain. |

Some EoN douchebag makes a rickroll, CCP is in here sucking him off like it's their last opportunity.
