By unique I mean a catagorized planet(ice, lava, gas, etc.) that has a natural phenomena. If there are any, does that mean we can fight on those planets as well?
A good example would be from Mass Effect 2 where in the Overlord DLC the temperate planet(garden world in-game), Aite had a ring like a gas giant normally would.

I wouldn't know if there are any truly unique planets in terms of natural phenomena as I don't actually play EvE, but here's a list of all the different kinds of planets in EvE, some of which sounds like it would be awesome to see DUST-side [Plasma and Shattered]. |

Since the future is a combination of both uncertainty AND promises about what will for sure positively maybe happen, I'm going to go with...

There's a planet in Seylinn that's shattered into pieces.
Does that count? |

There are 9(?) shattered planets.
But there is one actually unique planet - Caldari Prime. Part of a EVE / Dust live event where players shot down a titan over the planet. It did not end well for the planet. |

There's a planet in Seylinn that's shattered into pieces. Does that count? I suppose since there aren't many shattered planets |

Gas I've Storm Barren Temp Lava Ocean Plasma Shattered I know and that's not what I meant. I was asking if let's say a lava or plasma planet had developed rings or if there are any brown dwarf gas planets and if a gas planet was so close to its star that it glowed. |

Planets have kind of been ignored for the most part in EVE for quite some time. |

Shattered planets.
Out of the thousands in the New Eden, only 6 are shattered.

Planets have kind of been ignored for the most part in EVE for quite some time. I could understand that since you can't do a lot with them. If I was an EVE player and there was a planet different from the rest I would constantly fight for it. Even it did have crappy resources |

Peace, Aizen It may not have it's own planet type, but Caldari Prime is unique courtesy of the titan shaped hole in its crust.
Also, it's temperate planet, not an ice planet. |

you can have two of the same planet types, say lava. the two planets will not be equal, they might produce the same materials but one might produce more of something than the other making that planet more valuable even tho they appear the same. |

just to be clear every single planet is one of kind, they were all prodecually generated with different pieces randomly generated together, including layers for ocean depth and clouds. Look out the window when you get into a fight that is what that planet looks like in eve.
In the future dust is suppose to get those planets height maps translated right into dust so what you see from space is what the dust player sees by zooming out on the map view. |
