In order to better incentivize playing, most sp gains in matches should come from WP gains and less emphasis on being there. Then, to offset the QQ this would cause, allow for cap rollover.

There was a change that you guys were going to remove health bars of all targets on screen except the one you were aiming/firing at. Is this change still going through? I didn't read it in the blog, but it was the same post where you guys talked about removing squad view.
If this is still going through, I have to reiterate that it will make Logi jobs MUCH harder to triage and assess who is taking damage or dying on the screen. |

If this stays CCP certainly needs to make it so that when you fire your weapon it gives your position away for a few moments. Which makes perfect sense since how our radars are actually sonars. Perhaps even implement a new skill that suppresses the sound made by your weapon. I actually don't think it's *so* bad IF it gives an incentive to skill into and use the active scanner. I could see a strong synergy with Scout suits and active scanning, with bonuses and perhaps even giving scout suits 2 equipment slots to better utilize a scanner and perhaps uplink, etc.
I do think it's problematic that redline snipers can continue to snipe "from the shadows" and it'll be *that* much more difficult to see them, but overall, if this provides an incentive to use something that's underutilized (and if the active scanner would contribute WPs on its use or something similar), then this combined with scout suit bonus synergy could make the scout a valuable position.

What happened to better matchmaking/matchmaking changes coming? Are we still going to be pitted against a team running all proto when we're mixed with militia and advanced? |
