we already have salvage, but its useless for the most part. as the for market CCP will be making a player based market. they don't just bring stuff in right away though, they are testing and lookin at the spread sheets so that when they bring in a player market it wont ruin the 10 year long economy of eve online. so we'll probably have to wait a bit |

If the average income is something like 165k isk, and you are losing isk from 2 deaths, you are running stuff that is too expensive for your skill level. That's a pretty simple thing to figure out. Your options are play in something cheaper or get better somehow. |

Use cheaper gear.
Someone's using protogear he can't afford...

My skill level is an average of 10 n 2 n im not counting assists... I used to go 30 n 0, before uprising, youre wrong there, no ofense. My usual option is going starter fit or adv. If you were an experienced merc youl wouldnt say that at all... I see youre just trying to hate... What is your average, 0 deaths every 5 games LOL? |

Here's a tip I learned from someone's dust video I watched a long time ago:
You have a bunch of slots for suit configuration. Take the time to set up multiple levels of suits, (STD w/ STD Weapon, STD w/ ADV Weapon, ADV w/ ADV Weapon, ADV w/ Proto Weapon, ETC). Once you've done this, click 'restock', and append the cost to the name of the suit.
That does two things. First, it reminds you of your suit cost, which is a great way to prevent lots of ISK in losses, as you're constantly being reminded how much you're spending.
Second, it gives you the ability to attack at a level that you're comfortable with. Losing alot? Go with a STD fit! They tend to cost 20k at most! Is it an even match, but you aren't willing to go all out? You've got an ADV suit for that! Remember - The guns are doing all the work; suits are where most of the cost comes from, so just fit a higher tier weapon than your suit, and build the suit around the weapon. I've started saving hundreds of thousands of ISK since I kitted out an ADV suit with a Proto weapon.
Since I started doing this, I find that I run ADV and STD a lot more than I used to, and I'm very much in the positive. I can afford to throw away a proto suit now and again. And truth be told, my STD and ADV suits are usually pretty effective when compared to the proto suits. Try it out, you'd be supprised :). DUST is not and does not have to be cut and dry Proto or MLT. There are other tiers in there :P
Edit: I will say, to fit higher weaponry and fittings with lower suits, you'll need to get those core skills way up. Just a heads up. They ARE WORTH IT! |

I had 120 millions, but now i have 50 millions,i gave a total of 15 millions to friends and corps i was in... I play half the time in adv and starter fit... And im still losing money, which brings me to the conclusion that we need a market , cheaper proto suits or other sources of income... Just because i call out if somethings wrong doesnt necessarily mean im complainning. I post to help CCP and other mercs, i can hold my own. |

There wouldn't really be a point to having money in this game, and things costing money if you could equip the best gear all the time with no issue. The whole point of having an ISK economy in DUST is to hedge constant Proto Use, or make it prohibitively costly. Thus even Proto skilled players still have to migrate to cheaper suits, unless they are simply skilled enough to get like 20 kills per death.
As to the player market, I think the issue is less with ruining EVE's economy where TRILLIONS get traded daily, and more with DUST's econ where if too much money was to pour in then inflation would go crazy. If we still buy our gear from NPCs then everyone would have the same issue as above, Proto suits become candy cheap. |

You obviously can't hold your own if you are loosing 55 million (120 - 50 -15 = 55) over what 5 months since uprising. Thats an 11million isk hole every month. 5 months you will be broke.
My proto suits cost 200k and i rarely use them. Unless drunk then will loose hundreds a night.
I started uprising with 150m gave 100m to my corp and now have 120m thats budgeting my friend. |

We do need the market but it's not at the top of CCP's todo list.
I'm thinking you are doing the math wrong then. I had 190 mil after the big salvage buy-back. I've dropped down to maybe 170 at my lowest but I'm back over 180 mil. I only run instant battles so no big PC payouts. I usually die around 5 times per match but I make on average about 230K. I have a mix of suits from standard to prototype that I switch between.
Are you running vehicles? Those suck up ISK faster than anything.

Proto gear isn't always the way to go. The only differences between my proto suit build and my advanced suit build are 15% damage increase and a $130,000 higher price tag on the proto suit. Other than that the shields, armor, and speed are the same. PC is where that 15% damage bonus is required. For running in pub games, advanced is really all you need to make money. $32,000 suit with 15% less damage than a $162,000 suit on a match where I'm earning around $300k at the end....easy to see where the money is to be made.
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but if you're running mostly advanced and starter fits, and losing money in pubs, you cannot hold your own. |

You people are being way too positive, i really think the earnings should be more... Youre all forgetting the taxes will be here soon lol You all say you make money because you always have a squad and you do skirmish... But most people run solo ambush... Most people die 5 times a match... How can they afford their suits? |
