For example my dropsuit has 181/523 shields and armor, yet it can still be one shotted by an M1 locus grenade. Now according to some tests explosives do around 130% damage to armor, so an M1 does 650 to armor alone, but with my shields and armor my HP exceeds 650.
It seems to me that if the grenade wipes your shields the whole damage is applied twice, which might be a problem with not just grenades but all explosive weapons. |

If math was being applied correctly I wouldn't be one shotted from an M1 locus grenade. |

Exactly so how is it that I get one shotted. |

Grimmiers wrote:A single core grenade did about 980 damage to me. I'm also wearing a gallente suit and it must have been a headshot multiplied explosive which is dumb. I'm strongly in favor of lowering the difference between shield and armor explosive resistance to something around 90% for shield and 110% for armor instead of 80% and 120%. I would probably make the gap even smaller but every weapon needs a defined weakness. Another option would be to nerf grenade damage by 100 for each grenade and 150 for militia.
Before anything like this is done I would like to know how the damage is being applied first. |

There many times I hucked one at a shield heavy suit and they just took shield down to a tiny fraction, but then if it gets through shields on the same enemy it auto kills them.
Anyway feel like testing this today?
Just tested it, it wiped my shields 181 and got my armor down to 231 from 545. So the grenade is not reapplying the damage, but it is doing more damage than what I expected. If I remove a shield extender it brings my shields down to 108 and a M1 locus gets my HP down to 73 armor from 545 that is a huge damage difference from just removing a shield extender, that means that if my shields are at 80~ the M1 will kill me. |
