Scouts can climb up any vertical surface, and can climb any terrain infamous style.
Sneaky forge gunners dominating the field from some high up position that has no ladders, and dropships cannot survive the run? Send a light frame!
Going for that perfect nova-knife kill and need a good position to leap from? Climb up a wall and cling for a while, at least as long as your stamina holds!
Many new ways for sneaky light frames to navigate the map.
Thoughts? |

Hard core parkour? It would be fun for a while, but the fun would wear off. I'd rather see the development time spent on new mapsand gear. |

You think this is cool now but when you get keep getting stuck on the wall and getting shot at only to run out of stamina and die from just falling off the wall... it won't be cool anymore. |

That's one element though which can imbalance the game. Scouts will become FOTM. Many will climb in to hard to reach places and snipe camp. |

Great so instead of seeing a dropship fly up to a tower letting possible vehicles know that a FG will be up ther instead we will have packs of scout climing towers on the blindside and then trying to alpha unsuspecting vehicles because lolrending

people already go to hard to reach places and snipe camp, whether it be a sniper, forge gun, or rail tank... this game is so dumb to me nothing like it used to be, fun |

I actually think there is some merit to this post.
We are talking about a race that has conquered space with jump gates, warping, and jump drives, very high end physics going into that technology, it is hard to believe that we can't have stable jetpacks of some sort.
I like the idea. This wouldn't necessarily mean that the jetpack comes as a standard piece of equipment on each suit, it could be a trainable mod that fits into a high slot.
The lighter the suit, the more they can get out of it, but even a heavy, if equipped, would be able to hop a rail with it.
Like most things in life, there is tradeoff, this is what we call the principle of duality which simply states that most tactics, techniques, and equipment can be exploited to your advantage depending on where you find yourself in the tactical situation. And, as with most things in life, these tactical principles have give and take - that is you are gaining something while simultaneously you losing something in the process.
For instance: If you are in the air, yeah you are cool and moving, and perhaps bunny hopping/packing in order to get away from getting shot by some dude on the ground, but once you are in the air you expose yourself to many more people who couldn't see you (or weren't shooting at you) before. Therefore you would need to consider whether or not the use of the pack would help in your given situation.
CCP is has proven themselves in assuring this type of balancing.
IMHO, The idea of vertical movement gives players much more flexibility, and adds an additional dimension to the game.
I am not opposed to the ability to parkouring off wall's to get to more interesting perches, again, gaining elevation will gain you a tactical advantage only if you use it correctly, otherwise you will be exposing yourself to incoming hate.

Riiiiight.... let's go ahead and make it so that snipers no longer have to call a dropship to get to those head-glitching sniper positions, they can just get there on foot..... |
