This is a post that was in the General Discussions and now putting it here as a request.
I'd like to just list some stuff that most pilots would love to have in this game, hopefully ccp can implant them by the 1.5 patch. These are not any order they are all listed in random, however i'd love to see if people agree with the list so i can put it in the Feedback/Request tab.
So lets get started: -price nerf - other races get vehicle love -More HP and resistances -SP for spawns, scanning, etc - ability to let blueberries know they need to bail out (useful for logi dropships) - laser turrets ( or any other racial turrets) - The ability to choose it you want turrets on your ship so you can save some pg/cpu -Counter measures (these are a must. Also "shield overcharge mod that negated all rail and FG DMG") - idea by Cody Sietz -fix landing ( i don't find anything wrong with them but some people do, especially new players) -warning system ( also a must. it would be awesome to have warning forge guns as well) - standard, adv, proto ( i don't know if they would do this in 1.5 but it would be awesome to have em, all vehicles as well) - small rail guns getting a buff!! - passengers able to shoot from seat ( some people want it some don't) - Not knowing rdv (its cloaked) making it easier to get killed by it - first-person aim cam for ADS
Also couple of things that people want but ccp didn't really touch on it too much: -other aerial type vehicle and larger aerial type vehicle -pilot drop suits (people are saving up for it but not 100% if its even coming in 1.5, hopefully its part of the balance. Not sure if ccp thought of this but one of the reason dropship pilots are easily killed are because of the dam maps. Some quite large but not big enough! (also this would speed up the processes of us getting jets!).
Hopefully this is what us pilots want (i know i agree with most of these stuff here, but not the passenger shooting but what the hell lets see what ccp wants to do about it.) If there are stuff i missed please post em, i want ccp to look at what we want and not (bomber derpships). |

Small railguns are a problem that I think will make ADS much more valuable. Currently they only do 50% MAX to other vehicles/ installations, essentially making them worthless. That means a maximum of ~250 damage for the best compressed railgun (that only get 2 shots before overheating, btw). Rail tanks and forges get their maximum damage verse vehicles, why should dropships (and LAVs as well) get the short end of the stick?
This small change could open so much potential for the dropship (and LAV I guess) as an anti-vehicle vehicle. I will make them somewhat of a threat to tanks, a threat to LAVs if they stay still, and will actually make air-to-air fights possible. This won't threaten infantry forces very much, considering that it's virtually impossible to aim it at such small, moving targets, that it will almost exclusively be anti-vehicle (what I think it's supposed to be). The damage isn't that OP anyway, so who knows why it's nerfed like it is.
This will allow the different types of turrets to fill certain roles: Rail- AV Blaster-Anti-Infantry Missile-Mix of both, but not as good as the either Laser- ??? Depends on if it's beam or pulse |

I can't say any of these are bad.
TBQH, however, a CPU and PG buff would be enough DSs need to be able to fit heavy tanking mods, cause they just can't get out of fire. Any masshole can look up and wreck you, but your stuck with LAV tanking mods?
That, plus a countermeasure module.
Fighter can get stuck with light mods, and bonuses to countermeasure efficency. At least they can dodge forges, and with better countermeasures, they can be survivable. |
