It did, it broke the weapon. The mass driver has the lowest DPS out of almost every light weapon and the 3rd slowest reload speed. It's an area denial weapon that's working as intended, but can be abused by people that throw 3 levels into it and try to use it as a shotgun. Even so, you can easily work around this by flanking, getting a height advantage, or taking them out from a range. Things like hiding behind cover or trying to rush an anti-rush weapon only leads to bad results. The weapon is designed to be a niche weapon and like any niche weapon it performs well in that niche, forcing you to learn how to use different tactics. Don't treat it like an assault rifle and use my above recommendations on how to handle the weapon.

The MD is still not as powerful as in Chromosome. What is a new phenomenon is it becoming as another poster put it, a shotgun substitute, I think that has much to do with scouts and minmatar assaults using the weapon where they can effectively jump backwards and get you in close without killing themselves so that the bum rush the MD user tactic is not as effective as it was back in Chromosome. But I agree it is working well as intended and can be bested with different tactics. I used to use it all the time before, now I use it on only my Dren logi and think it's pretty balanced

I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a Freedom, the most powerful Mass Driver in New Eden and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Am i the only one who thinks, that mass drivers, should have at least, less blast radius?

strangely, when i attempt to direct hit in people faces or chest i end up most of the time having no hit register or shot just passing through, but when they run away i always end up hitting them in the back pack, just like a magnet

What the F is a Mass Driver??

I remember a time when the HMG was the FotM. When everyone moved on, dedicated heavies still remained and still use it to this day. I've been using the MD since mid Chrome, I'm using it now, and when a new FotM arises- guess what? I'm still going to be using it.
I hear lasers are rising in popularity. I'll give the MD until 1.4 before we see people complaining about those, calling Dust Laser Tag 514 or something.
