I notice they are going to add a penalty for using shield extenders which will somewhat match the armor versions penalty, though my thing is:
-It's really not much, what shield tankers out there actually rely on the passive recharge for heals, It's incredibly slow and nearly useless. I run with 100% shields, if I'm not there, I'm not waiting for that passive. Ill use my heal and wait for the cooldown, faster and efficient in this way. (What I'm saying here is why bother??)
- Even by an armor tank using his plates, the heaviest that is, his speed still surpasses my own. Even though it shows being 1 point below my own. And they still fly! Whats up with this, and will it ever be addressed.
With me running no armor I would think I would at least hold the speed advantage, though this is not true.
-AND missiles, they are supposed to be the caldaris thing, but they suck.
I do like the advantage over AV (explosives that is, namely just swarms, everything else tears me up) but adding a nerf when maddies can already eat me for breakfast to helps us balance out with maddies. Shield tanks are a joke and I srsly hope your joking lol.
Hate getting laughed and poked fun at by my bigger brother the maddie:( |

I know right, but this has been the only thing I've seen mentioned about them.
It is just insane to me, that isn't even an issue given the current state of tanks, why the hell bother.
We have useless modules that never see use, not to mention all of the utility modules, scanners, speed boosters, ect, all fit into the high slots, which happen to be our tank slots. Ran around in an armor buddies tank and was freaking amazed.
He had a scanner, heatsink, armor hardners, heal, basically his whole wheel is filled with active modules. My shield tanks currently has 2 things, a freaking heal and speed boost. Or a heal and a heatsink.
And they want to add a nerf ( a stupid nerf but it's the principal of the matter...) |

Ah, yeah they always mix me up when they mention shield tanking, cause as a tanker of a shield tank, shield tanks means something different to me then infantry.
But I can't see why this wouldnt extend to shield modules on a tank as well, considering armor plates give a speed drop on armor tanks.
Yeah my bad there. I just really want my gunnlogi fixed. plllz No nerfs needed. |

Point number one, understood, though your milita swarms aren't doing anything to a good fit maddie, I call bullshit
Point 2, Av nades hurt, not as bad as a maddie, but they really really hurt. I back out when those hit me.
Point 3, That hell? I totally understand what you may think, but even using the heaviest plate a maddie still moves far faster. Like I said it shows 1 point less then my total speed when they use one. So I'm at 78, maddie is at 77.
Dude is still rolling around faster then me. Remember that maddies also have a much higher natural speed, like 90 something compared to my 77. So yes they remain faster, I've had them catch me when I was using a speed boost, thought maybe they were running a speed boost too. But they can equip a speed booster with out losing a tank slot.
And one more thing, maddies eat a shield tank like they are candy my man. Be my guest and roll up near a maddie, no rails, and blow him up. A good fit one, milita doesn't count. You won't stand a chance... |

Oh noob tanker, one day you will get it. Wait til you get hit by your first proto forge. Most likely one shot your tank!
Quit rolling around in milita tanks and you wont be getting killed my milita weapons dude lol. |

Interesting, lol. I know my gunlogi moves like a rock compared to them maddies. So if I use a light extender, I go faster. I thought there was no penalty for using extenders. |
