Well he complaining about being scout & it's minmatar proto scout, that has more survivability than gallente scout- that means he don't know how to play a scout It could also be he's trying to say that scout (and light, people always forget the basic light!) suits suck. They do, you know. |

Shotty GoBang wrote:For Gallente CQC Scouts, the passive scan bonus combined with long-range scanning is useful. Is it really? I did a fair bit of testing before my re-spec (I was amongst those who got it _really_ late), and even with maxed scanner skills, proto gallente scout and all slots filled with proto scanning modules it wasn't useful at all. Things could have changed since then, but I doubt it.
EDIT: ...anyway, gallente scouts should get enough range from the suit bonus and scanner skills alone. Hell, all lights and scouts should. One more thing that was better in Chromosome :P. |

I didn't. What I meant above was that the _passive scanner_ was useless, despite having done everything possible to boost its range. |

Shotty GoBang wrote:If you're looking for a subjective perspective, I'm much more aware of my surroundings when running one Enhanced Range Amplifier on my Lvl(5) GalScout. Stacking Complex Range Amplifiers isn't advisable; you won't be able to fit anything else. Yeah, that's what I was looking for, thanks. Interesting... maybe I should dump some SP into that stuff and give it a try again -- just hope I won't regret it as much as I did last time ;). |

Niuvo wrote:A huge problem I see is our field of vision, I find it to narrow. Have you guys ever tried running somewhere because it looks clear, then an AR starts shooting you from somewhere. My scan doesn't pick him up and now I'm trying to outrun this disadvantage, of course I fail. Yes, all the time. In Chromosome I relied heavily on the scanner to make up, at least partly, for the slow turning speed and choppy graphics (while it was more fluid back then it could be a bit disorienting in CQC). |
