Normally, I'm the quiet one and will speak on other forums when needed. My thoughts are as followed. The build up to this war started 3 weeks after Eon and LOI signed a treaty I think. The reason I said I think is because at that time I was not in a corporation. The one I was in (One-arm bandits) broke up over corruption of power (remember this line for later). I joined Red Star because my friend TorGuE77 was in that corp and we normally squad up with one another. But what I didn't know was EON was in war with LOI.
Following the events after the war people were saying how good EON was for beating LOI and etc, it was all over the forums. And for sometime people wanted to join EON for power and protection within PC. Within those 3 weeks I was spectating the forums to see if people would do what I was expecting. As people heard some individuals in EON decided to give land to indie corps (which needs a serious re-definition of what it takes to be a so called indie corp) to give them a chance. I kinda knew where this was going and I disliked it but to only see my speculations to be true hurts. To add even more to the pain my speculations were also confirmed when people wanted to revolt against EON to the point where war would break out. But I need to keep in mind that this is planetary conquest and expect the unexpected.
At this time I wanted to ask a fellow mercenary by the name of DJINN Kujo for advice. I sent him a message to only see he himself was in PC. I wanted to ask him questions since he was playing longer than me, that and he's a really cool person to talk to. But he would have said something like you need to find that answer on your own. I even wanted to (but didn't) ask Rina Rylos for her take but she would had said you're a mercenary first and last (I respect that).
When this war is said and done with, what happens when a big power defeats another big power. They get bigger. Problem being is when they obtain more power corruption can follow right after. Over time people in that big power would become power hungry to the point where they want to be in control. Eventually, that power will fall apart.
What I am saying is this, no matter who wins the war the outcome will forever be the same. By this I need to run a scenario to explain. Say IF EON lost, then people want to go to the winning side as human nature expects it to be. For sometime people will respect that and want their corporation to join said alliance. However some back-hand deals and scams to give indie corps land may appear along with people in that winning alliance wanting majority control. The people doing this is eventually caught by others and people will want justice done for their misdeeds. The people wanting power will leave and revolt against them. Thus causing a loop/cycle.
As of now the world of PC is in a Loop/cycle where winners will be praised for sometime being but then have the world turn against them. No I'm not sour about people attacking EON, I'm actually happy that this is happening. If anything, the DUST community proved to me that people will fight for what they stand for.
I will be the person to say if we win, we win. It's whatever to me. If we lose then I tip my hat off to the people that beat us. Again it's whatever to me. If you see me or I see you on the battlefield then lets have a good fight.

I will be using this throughout the war as an insight to my personal thoughts when/out of battle. |

1st PC battle in 20 minutes, I will say I am nervous. This is officially the 1st big war to partake in. All my friends awaiting and making squads are talking plans and stuff. But they look on the brighter side of things. People themselves are looking the battle seriously but someone did say if you do not see anything bright at the end of this tunnel then you are taking things too seriously. These group of guys are awesome. I'm willing to take a bullet for them in this war at anytime. So to Savage Arms Inc. (who we are fighting 1st), good luck and may the best man win. |

One thing has hopped on my mind. Decided to read the forums on how things are going. Let me make this clear before going into this topic, before you start claiming victories, before you start saying who is dominating who take a step back and realize something. Again not sour about the war but sour because of the DUST Forum community from the smaller corps. I have never seen poor sportsmanship in my life until now (this is why I sound sour).
PC battles are relativity EXPENSIVE!!!!!!
Now as of why I said that, what I had noticed during this war was some of the small corporations would love to launch attacks when people are not logged on at the time or when that defending corp has some of their power players gone. No problem with that but give this food for thought.
Which would you be more proud of? Winning/loosing a PC battle that had you on the edge of your seat or Wining a PC battle because you know people wouldn't show up at that time?
This question was asked because I have seen a lot of corps I haven't heard of saying they beat EON in a PC battle after wasting millions upon billions of ISK trying to capture that one district with some of them being no shows since there are battles at 4 am CST IN THE MORNING! But then to go and talk crap about EON on the forums. Normally I try to ignore them but after you see thread upon tread about this it gets annoying.
I happy and sad that the small corps can take A OR SOME districts but all I ask of you small corps of people from the FEC (whoever the **** they are) be a better sport about winning. SIDE NOTE: good game to AE from the last battle. |
