LAVs are meant to be used as either hit-and-run guerrilla vehicles (scout LAVs) or as support vehicles (LLAVs)
Currently, small turrets are terrible, and support modules give no WP, so neither job is viable right now |

The Logi LAV shield and armour transporters are a good direction for them as well but they should be easier to use (preferably an instant auto lock-on to other vehicles and maybe surrounding dropsuits).
Road kills should still be possible, but only at max speed, and this should severely damage the LAV or hinder its speed for the next minute or 2. Definitely not it- we're getting speeders (cheaper and faster), and dropships are already the transports. Plus LAVs only have 1 passenger seat. |

LAVs used to have a roll-cage. Not sure what happened to it. But, looking at the concept art, minmatar and amarr LAVs will have roll cages. And from my personal experience, it looks pretty funny when you're gunning and the LAV is balancing on your head. |

FFS LAVs can already run you over from behind with no sensor warning whatsoever. I don't know how they could possibly be harder to scan, unless you mean lowering their profile so they don't get picked up on active scanners, which would be absolutely ridiculous (since that would require <45db of profile, which is less than a scout suit). K, so increase other lavs scan profiles but leave the scouts the same. What the heck is the point of having scout stuff. I don't think the scan profile is the issue- if it's close enough, the icon will show up on the mini map.
However, the sound definitely needs to be fixed. Right now LAVs are either silent, or so loud you can't tell if they're near you. You should probably start hearing them at 150-200m. |
