I dont understand why is this the only game that i have ever played that have vehicles in team death match, and CCP refuses to take them out. What is a lav role in ambush besides cheap kills? |

It's so sad, people are out there trying hard to run ppl over and get the highes kills. On top of that they have BPO suit, weapon, and car. And they get paid, and they gain SP. really? Then you have tanks in reg ambush. Gamemodes: tanks only, infantry only. dropships only. |

So Clans can pad their K-D ratios and brag how good they are.
And when you fight them and they run out of Core locus grenades they cant shoot for s***.

Transport, logistical support, scouting, ambushing if CCP would increase the damage of proximity mines then no one would spawn lavs so frequently. |

Seriously if they just increase the damage of those proxy mines people would really think twice about trying to run you over as a tanker I dont mind the damage being increased because i can hear them beeping but in a Lav youre going faster and you have little time to react. |

I think it makes total sense. And in fact, ambush is where I see the most use of vehicles. It's supposed to feel like a very quick escalation. That's what an ambush is. An oh **** moment before all hell breaks loose.
Imagine it, your patrol's is out on a routine sweep in the volcanic formations surrounding your patron's corporation's HQ. Noxious fumes of chlorine deposits burnt by thermal flows choke the air in long plumes, rising with a chemical crackle to blot out the sister moons that orbit this Jovians-be-damned world.
All of a sudden through the smoke you see something come around one of the solidified magma flows, it's silhouette blurred by the air pollution and ebbing light from the thermal vents. As you try to confirm what you see, an entire wedge of mercs materializes as a smoke cloud blows out of the way. Both sides are surprised, minds working too slow registering an unexpected event. But then someone fires a shot, and the whole world descends into maddness in seconds as rounds are exchanged, locus grenades detonate mere meters away, and miniguns begin their merciless sweep of the surrounding area.
You find yourself somehow isolated within seconds, holed up in a rock formation cursing whatever Neo barb gods got you into this mess, making promises to whatever listens to visit Kaalakiota Corporation's Summit Temple when you get away from this dead beat job. To your left a fellow squadmate falls down as he tried to take a shot with his mass driver. Before his attacker can finish the job an Ammarian from a different squad in a heavy dropsuit steps to fill the gap, Forge gun already charged and firing.
A minmatar logistics unit rushes over with a nanite injector and then you hear it. A low hum, a sizzling in the air leading to a bass roar as the first dropship drops the first Gallente made HAV. In the distance you see the opposing force receiving a pair of Caldari LAVs. All around you mercs reach out to their counterparts hanging over them in the heavens, demanding reinforcements as the battle reaches a new fevered pitch. Reacting with the same surprise found on the ground the dropships make one payload. Then another. Then another. And then another.
Hellz ya man. That's a fun time. And while I think the game should always be well made and still fun, the world of New Eden is a rough place. A tank dropped into a bunch of infrantry with no anti-armor detterents should NEVER be fun. It's a freaking tank.
Anway kiddos, if you remember one thing remember this. It's "I'm up, He sees me, I'm down", not "I'm up, He sees me, He still sees me, ****" |

Picture a nice sunny day in los angeles downtown where the neighborhoods are over crowed and possibly over run by gangs. Now picture a gangland posse rolling some dudes because they decided to cross over into their turf drive by style. This is not meant to offend anyone but I believe there is a clear precedent for vehicles to be allowed in ambushes as seen with this present day example. This is the future so instead of caddys we have LAVs and Tanks as well as dropships. Just enough stuff to make our own little Dust bowl massacre. Welcome to New Eden. |

Because it's ambush and not team deathmatch, but i agree with the fact that there should be a game mode without vehicles and ambush is the most suitable game mode to receive those changes, but ambush maps should be smaller like they was before uprising. |

Thats what the scout dropsuit is for, vehicles in ambush is for no skill players to stack thier K/d, only LLAV players defend this because that vehicle is imposible to take down, its extremly OP and not being used for its intended purpose. And let me not even get started on tanks |

I say just have:
BIg maps for vehicles only and no OMS drops.
Big maps with vehicles and a shitload of distant spawn points and OMS drops.
Medium maps with tight spawn points with some of the outside area exposed and no vehicles but far enough apart to allow for long range weapon fire and no OMS drops.
Small maps that are only within the main outpost areas with two spawn points that can not be accessed in order to camp and good luck getting to cover or any place that would allow for long range weapon fire and no OMS drops. i.e. The Octagon!
Allow for the choice of which maps so you can either roll tanks and dropships for some calvary fun or just do a quick shoot em up.
Imagine full on vehicle lovin'! |

- murder taxis are relatively easy to avoid your just as easy to gun down in an open area as you are to run over - if you see a blueberry murder taxi'ing steal his vehicle(jump in and if he jumps out take it over) and run it into the red line make it not cost effective for people to abuse this mechanic(charybdis/limbus especially) - use swarms/av grenades/forge guns/proxy(w/ remotes) mines to remove lavs from the field. I personally have proto swarms and field them about 50% of the time even in ambush as long as i have a squad with me - don't join team deathmatch solo and complain about groups that drop tanks and annihilate you this is a team game, squad up 2-3 people with adv/proto swarms can easily deal with any tank even those annoying highly skilled gunloggis. - vehicle impact mechanics are changing in 1.4/1.5 if I'm not mistaken so just hold out a little bit longer and that whole issue will hopefully be solved
if you don't like it first off don't play it secondly make a suggestion that isnt just "i keep getting run over wah wah wah" and actually be constructive. |

This game allows you to choose how you want to play. These vehicles have been skillid into and deserve their place on the field as much as the next. A lot of L/LAV's will out score most snipers these days. |

Its not its intended role, just like Caldari Logistic dropsuit was not meant to b a assault suit, the L-Lav was not meant to be a weapon! I agree they deserve a place in the field (ambush, domination) : 1 - transportation fron objective to objective 2- support friendly vehicles
Whats its actually used for: 1 - rain terror on enemys as a death weapon |
