Here is how it could be.... we can play for fun and not loose anything, even if we die.... and we dont gain anything except waste time having fun...

This is set in the EVE Universe, where you have to live with your decisions and blah blah blah blah
^Typical EVE player
I'm with you but, most of the 'vets' would never go for it. Why? Because most everybody would immediately go there and they wouldn't be able to proto stomp as easily as they can now, because people would have their best equipment out every match.
Too bad :/ |

Tranquility doesn't accept the pretend loss of anything. Whole reason why eve online has no 'virtual' arenas. If it dies IT DIES. This has more to do with the how the inventory in every solar system is handled and the inability to instance anything. While Dust may seem like an instancing, despite two maps looking the same they're not the same time-space as the other. |

Forget that, how I'm I suppose to play Michael Myers with my friends if they lose stuff! Also isn't it because Eve is an open world RPG? @OP I think custom games is the word you're looking for and I agree |

Kindof like going to a sports game.

Maybe not pure arcade, but how about militia & standard only matches with no squads? It could be the botttom-of-the-barrel merc contract. |

Too bad :/ Dude.
We're already going for it.
What do you think the Gladiator stuff they talked about at FanFest is all about? That's "stress-free" arena style matches of CTF, TDM, DM, KOTH, and all those other modes from other shooters, with live streaming and gambling. |
