Oh, and it is ridiculous to claim the armour buff to be "FAIL" when you yourself have not experienced it first-hand. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see it will suck.
No, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see its potential, but it does take straight idiot to think that an armor buff should make armor more powerful then whats already established, let alone to think this buff is a "fail". Armor, in my opinion, was always meant to give you more HP for less regen. You'll get more upfront HP in a fight, but your long term survivability isn't as good due to slow regen.
Ive done the math and both my proto assault and proto logistics gallente suit will gain over 100 HP, and be faster then what they were before. The regen will continue to be the same for both suits. So what does that mean? It means it was an overall buff, and a needed one in my opinion. Right now its way more common to see shields then armor and that's for good reason too.
Now, if you want a fit that would work I would recommend running the proto assault G suit with Two basic armor plates, one enhanced armor plate, and one complex armor repairer. I don't feel like doing the math right now, but that should give you plenty of health, good mobility, and decent armor repair. Sure if you almost die it'll take a minute to regen, but that's assuming you don't have a semi-competent logi in your squad. At any rate, if you want fast regen go switch to either the caldari, or minmatar suits. |

Too late for that now, besides if the gallente assault continues to be armor based, no one will want to be a gallente, especially after they nerf damage mods when everyone starts coimplainning about getting owned by gallente all the time because they have damage mods. But i dont think damage mods are worth losing your mobility, everyone that gets 60 kills in a match is a mobile soldier, usually a caldari assault shield tanker.
Dude, your arguments consist of contradictory statements (as shown above) and otherwise just you bashing people by calling them idiots. "Gallente suits suck, but CCP is going to nerf damage mods because everyone gets owned by gallente suits that use them" Really? You don't think damage mods are worth losing mobility over??? WELL GOOD NEWS, in 1.4 armor tanking is getting a mobility AND HP buff........
The point is, stop complaining. CCP is trying to balance the in game content, not break it by making something new OP every month. |

The current buff is jus a small step into the right direction. Shield vs armor gets a bit closer but they far from beeing close or very close. Shield tanker benefits from the buff as well if not even more. And a reasonable Armor fit gets just a small head up in EHP for the disadvantages that come with armor tanking. This buff is better than nothing but believing this will solve the imbalance between shield and armor is IMHO wrong
You see, that there actually makes some sense. I agree with you that its not perfect, but im more then happy with it for now. I mean..... at this rate I might not get OHK by militia grenades in my Proto suit anymore....... |
