Just wondering - because it'd be a really stupid to work on the balance of the MD strictly compared to a friendly fire enabled play. I could imagine a certain amount of balance coming from not wanting to splash around the shots there. |

That doesn't make sense - unless you're talking about people going to bars to have a drink, which always makes sense! |

Two things.... First, while I know that other first-person shooters don't have friendly fire except in special hardcore modes. However, these other games, BF3 and COD series, explosives aren't available in quantity. So, to account for this, without reducing the ammo count on explosives, splash damage (and as far as I'm concerned, only splash damage) should have friendly fire enabled. Without splash damage and with all of the ammo, explosives are very spammable. And with the extra effectiveness of instant killing anyone finished by an explosive, they are becoming more and more preferable. Without friendly fire enabled for explosives, since they are so prevalent and effective, they lose any major downside.
Second, I know I saw something in the feedback or bugs section, the MD user takes half splash damage range. So if his splash damage radius is 6 m, he's only damaged at 3 m. This bug makes the MD extremely effective at close range, since it makes the distance at which they blow themselves up practically hugging. |

3 meters? Got a link for that? Because I'd thought the 'ah, their weakness is if you get in close' - but then they just kill me anyway. And does the link say it's a bug - it'd be nice if they fixed that!
Arkena, I know. I was making a joke to pass the time because the comment made no sense. |

So while testing (assuming the person is reputable), splash damage was found to have half distance for damage done to the user. |

? What, run behind the red line? So they even just give up?
What sort of downside is being described here? |
