The glitch is simple and I don't care if I get banned cause it's all over the forums anyway. The melee cooldown is reset every time you sprint, meaning you can do melee-sprint-melee-sprint in rapid succession and get 4-5 melee attacks in less than a second. You have to be moving to do it obviously.
The more people abusing this the sooner it gets fixed. Arirana is the one abusing the hell out of it in PC matches. He runs melee modules and biotics and just runs around and instagibs anyone with the melee. It's almost impossible to dodge because (a) melee lock-on mechanic, and (b) cardiac regulators allow him to do almost as many melee attacks as he wants.
It's silly. His whole build is dependant on an exploit and he does really well with it because any close-quarters situation is an instakill for him. |

Yeah just happens ccp gave one suit 5 highs and 4 lows to really make it magically effective. Pshhhh, like you even need the suit. I've used the exploit to take down Heavies faster than my AR using only a Cardiac Regulator. Fact of the matter is it's being used to win competitive matches, and in those games little differences can have big consequences.
I personally asked Arirana to stop exploiting as a gesture of good sportsmanship and he flat out refused. I counter him just fine because I scan and can see him coming, but that doesn't matter as he's still abusing game mechanics. I don't care what justification you use, an exploit is an exploit. |

As I said in one of those posts it is up to us to create consequences for the people who exploit bugs. The WARRIORS INC corp is infamous for using exploits and are social pariahs as a result. The same needs to be done for every other exploiter of a broken in game mechanic. Except you fail to realize most people don't care what other people on the Internet think. Arirana said he doesn't care about his reputation so the only way to really solve this is to fix the bug. |

Don't know how many times I have tried to smash a head and just stand there looking like an idiot to the guy i'm trying to kill as he whips out his smg Likewise. Often times, by the time my character actually melees, the other guy has already sidestepped while I'm furiously trying to mash my stick. Who knew I just had to mash both sticks to insta-kill? I'll try it next time. I think you need a KB/M to make this exploit really awesome. Nope. Easy on both forms. On the DS3 you just point your left joystick forward and spam L3/R3 in syncopation. It's possibly even easier on the DS3, cause with KB you hold W and press Shift-Q-Shift-Q etc. |

Without the mods but still. How would anyone know that is an exploit?
How would anyone know? Well for one if you try and melee normally there's about a 2-3 second delay between each one. This is intended as a "cooldown" so people couldn't spam it. Lo and behold I guess the Devs didn't put in a measure to have that "cooldown" reset by sprint, so now people are fitting melee/stamina/speed modules and abusing it for hilarious instakill melee action.
It's funny at first, but then you see someone using it in a PC match and topping kills using nothing but melee. Combined with the lag/shoddy hit detection in PC, the instant-kill melee tactic is the next best thing to the mass driver in close quarters. |
