How are the thumbsticks on it? I have found them always to be of lesser quality on 3rd party sticks and break easy. Unless you buy the $100 pro sticks.

The body of this one is less sturdy but for the fans Ill live with it. I can probably twist this controller in half though if I felt like it, Thumbstick wise its pretty good and handles my controls well without breaking it should last just as long as a regular controler at least. I do have a strong grip though so unless its just as durable as the original xbox 360 controller I fear I am going to break it. its one of those things you pick up when you're an electrician in the navy trying to do some heavy work with your arms shoulder deep into a machine. Standard Dual shocks break on me all the time :(

Iron Wolf Saber, you're right on time. I've been looking into getting another controller. Some say the KBM is where its at, but for now, its not my thing. I fretted while looking at the price of DS3 controllers and I don't want a used one either. I like the fans too. Most importantly, I think the Xbox thumbstick placing is ideal for shooters. It took me a while to get used to DS3 controllers while I played FPS. I felt I had more accuracy with the Xbox controllers. Thanks again for posting this.

For spinning, keep the controller near by for 360 turning when you need to, then swap back to mouse for precision. Its what I do for turrets and it works great.

Plugged it in and started rapidly moving the thumbsticks around to see if I noticed any discernible lag. None was the verdict I came to. Loaded up DUST 514, and started moving and looking around, instant improvement. Having the offset thumbsticks with southpaw configuration instantly made me feel like I was playing 360 instead of PS3. Threw a couple grenadas while trying to ADS in the first game. Remedied that in my head and I can already tell you, I am now 5x better with the 360 controller than I was with the DS3. Kinda weird using the bumpers on 360 controller to ADS and shoot. All in all though I give this product a 10/10. If you are like me and hate the DS3 for FPS I suggest it as a cheap investment to get you 360 controller onto your PS3.
