How about every time a player dies from one of CCP's glitches (getting stuck in the ground, failed hit detection, freeze ups, faulty spawn) they refund that player's AURUM if they purchased any for that instance?
Sounds like a great idea to me. I mean it not like you can have people purchase AURUM and subject them to random chance of losing it that is out of their control, because that would be online gambling, and we all know online gambling is illegal to host in the United States, and CCP just wouldn't do that... |

Most amount of refund you can possibly get is psn funds in accordance to the PSN policies that the virtual money brought into the market cannot ever be returned.
Also Gambling has an extremely very well defined law of what constitutes it.
Either way for more guidance on this manner

Where does it talk about "bait and switch"? You know when you buy a thousand of one thing at 50 AUR but a week later it is EQUAL to the 15 AUR variant! If they are going to nerf something, THATS FINE! Its dirty to do what they have been doing! They lost my $50 a month! |

For the past ten years, there have been an extremely small minority of players within the Eve Online community that still break the number one rule of all of New Eden.
RMT and Botting is not allowed in Eve Online.
Yet those very few players feel that such a rule doesn't apply to then. But they get permabanned and their ISK and assets get confiscated. They then claim to be internet lawyers thinking that the policies don't apply to them. They threaten credit card charge backs and litigation but none of it really works out in their favor because ultimately they are the violators of the rules established by the TOS and EULA. Rules that they themselves agreed to upon logging in for the first time.
Here in Dust, you are acting no differently than the rest. Acting like an internet lawyer brandishing your Business Law Degree which carries no relevance here in the forums nor in the court of law or that of public opinion is not going to help your cause. CCP has been having to deal with these sort of things for ten years. That is LOOOOOONG before anyone even heard of Dust.
CCP has lawyers of their own and it's pretty obvious that they're doing just fine despite the threats of litigation.
Also, the TOS and EULA make it pretty clear that anything and everything in Eve Online and Dust belongs to CCP Games. You agreed a long time ago that you were just paying for the service to access those specific items in Dust and that CCP has the right to adjust the stats of said items that you bought.
Also, if you have a Business Law Degree, then you should know by now that the TOS and EULA are, according to the United States Federal government, technically legally binding contracts and that "clicking" the [ACCEPT] button constitutes as a valid signature that you made at that time. |
