So damage resist.
Vehicle Shield Upgrades skill gives you 2% resistance per level.
My level is at 4, so my base tank has a resist of 8%
Adding one Ward Shield Amplifier module (15% extra resistance) my resistance moves to
1 - 21.80% --- 21.80% - 8% = 13.8% I would think that since it is the first module it would operate at a full 15%. Yet it is not.
So my next question is how big of a drop is that statistically.
Mod reads a 15% increase, while the math shows 13.8
13.8 / 15 = .92 or 92%. Therefor my first module is 8% less effective. ?? wtf ??
So now I wonder if this has something to do with the skill itself, being that I come up with a number matching my skill rate.
Or is it applying the effects of diminishing returns to the "first" module, which in effect would be your second. Your first being the bonus you get from skills.
More testing is required.
With my current numbers the differences between all the modules and the skill run like thus.
1st mod - 92% effectiveness 2nd mod - 67% effectiveness 3rd mod - 38.8% effectiveness
So my question now is on a blank character with no skills into Vehicle Shield Upgrades, would they experience the same thing with module or would theirs run more like
1st mod - 100% 2nd mod - 92% 3rd mod at 67% 4th mod at 38.8%
using milita amplifiers. I will see for myself later how that goes on a blank character, anyone else think it's fishy though?? A buddy wants me to play some games atm, bout a million invites.

That 15% is removed from the remaining 92% after your base resist I'm at work on my phone so can't go into he numbers side but your stacking penaltie lists are off by a lot. This is working as intended as it has in eve for going on 10 years now( well for at least 7 not sure when the stacking penalties were put in) |

i've found another wrong calculation/bug. In a gunnlogi stack 3 passive shield resistance of 15%, if you use a 4th passive resistance of 15% the total resistance slightly increase, but if you use another kind of passive resistance mod (10% or 11%), your total resistance will be less than with 3 modules. |

resistance explained Damage resistance = 1 - [ ( 1 - x ) * ( 1 - y ) * (1 - z) * ... ]
pug in skills, nature resistances and modules, after stacking penalties, by themselves(each module by them self as well) till you run out of stuff to pug. |
