In PC is this balanced? How can the injector be an effective option vs the uplink. There are medics that want to revive. Or is it balanced enough for ya'll. |

Proto uplinks > Reviving.
Sorry, but reviving is the red-headed step-child compared to uplinks, especially when it comes to PC.
Until reviving gives back a full compliment of ammo/equipment and revives take away the kill from the one that killed, and death from the one that died, uplinks will be king.
I personally HATE being revived. I would rather spawn with all my stuff since I already have the death on my record. |

This should never be a thing. If I kicked your ass, the killboard should reflect that. You were taken out of combat for a period because you were knocked out of commission. KDR pandering should never be a thing.

I have something like 150m ISK on my main, I would rather take the 120k+ ISK hit and spawn with a fresh suit then be revived with no (or limited) ammo/equipment, and possibly get killed over and over and over soon after I get revived.
Also I'll admit, I do NOT want the KDR hit to my record in case I get killed again after the revive.
Not many will admit that, but I guarantee you if reviving saved a death for the revived clone, more would be in favor of it (a LOT more). Stats are king in a FPS, no matter how many deny it or claim otherwise... THEY DO CARE. Any serious FPS player who claims otherwise is full of shyte. |

Something should be done for you to want to be revived you know. I can see using uplinks for a better tactical spawn, but if you can be revived, people should try to revive you and help you. I personally think that when you get revived, you get a second life and you feel like a badass because you didn't spawn in again. |

I think revives should grant the revived temporary invulnerability (execpt from perma death attacks) with the logic that since you are still swimming with nanites, they are repairing you instantly from continued fire. |

If revival was a choice of the one that died, it would be pretty awesome. Cause there is times where revival is ideal.
But it needs to be a choice. If I want to be revived, then I should be able to broadcast that. Otherwise revival should be impossible unless requested.
And the best possible scenario is if revival saved not only a clone for the team (as it is now), but the clone that got revived received no counted death on their record. And there should be ways to make sure somebody cannot be revived (aside from headshots or explosive damage as is now).
Killzone 2 had a medic/revive system. From what I remember a headshot meant they could not be revived, but if it wasn't a headshot their corpse (that was bleeding out) could be shot/meeled again to keep them from being revived. And of course they had a bleed-out timer so they couldn't lay there forever. |

If you get the chance always revive, clones cost money as do fittings, Of course common sense dictates revving someone in the middle of a fire fight is generally a bad idea |

well with a freaking real logi i can revive heal u and resupply u in under 6 sec and save u rich asses isk and on the other hand u can wait 10 long sec to spawn some place far away from the place u are at. Cause believe me ememy blueberry's are going to shoot ur "pro dropuplinks" in a heartbeat there not that dumb But in PC u dooo need drop uplinks and if ur attacking god u better have a fu*ing NI because those clone counts are small. |

one would think that in Ambush and PC revives would hold more value.
the problem with reviving is that it risks losing two clones, one after the first.
the new horribly long animation doesnt help at all.
but at least people CAN be revived now...
also...gallente logi ftw BRING BOTH!!! |

Injectors have their place and right now that place is in pub matches. The issue with them is that when you're picked up your are at a disadvantage. You have no shields, little armor, and have already used ammo/equipment. All of these together seem like a rather steep barrier vs being revived.
I'd actually like to be revived less in pubs as well to be honest since often some idiot blue dot picks me up right in the middle of a fire fight and there is nothing I can do but die again. Yes this is a hit to my KDR and yes, while I hate to admit it, I do have an issue with that. I also don't think there should be a reward for doing something as stupid as say picking a person up in front of a heavy (this happened to me tonight).
Here is what I would like to see done about the injector: 1) Make it so the injector only gives points if the person picked up survives for 10 sec. after being picked up. 2) Add a bleed out button to the death screen. We used to have one and I want it back. This would also prevent people from abusing the system to get 100+ kills in a match which is a good thing (though not very funny). 3) Make the SP gained from revives proportional to the amount of healing provided (40%=40pts, 50%=50pts., etc...) 4) Proto level revive brings you up with 100% armor 5) After revive your shields begin coming back right away 6) and this one is ancillary, Supply depots need to restock equipment but slowly (ie 1 every 3 seconds)
None of these changes will make nanites competitive with drop uplinks in pc but will make them much more bearable in pubs. |

I use the adv injector, iirc 50% armor on revive, usually not much to rep after ive picked you up.
The WP are nice, but most of my WP comes from Uplinks, hives, kills, hacks and vehicle destruction... I won't revive unless i think you'll live a bit longer.. ill even take hits for you on revive, to me a revive is about clone counts.
Nothing better than an ambush win when both sides are sub 10 clones remaining, and i can get a couple of revives in... |

all being revived does is get you killed. it is terribly implemented. just use uplinks, you get so many points. |

I tried running a needle in PC for a few days, we even told everyone to wait a few seconds and try to get revived. Jut trying it out to see if we could save some clones on attacks.
Yeah... Until reviving gives back as much shields as it does armor, no one wants to bother.
Even then, its far too hectic since PC is just uplink spam and clone zeroing on objectives.
Injectors really have no place in PC while uplinks are spamable and we have objective spawning.
The core focused repair tool has some limited usability, any other rep tool is pretty much pointless as well.
Nanohives are fairly useful and triage nanos are very useful. |

Shields go up eventually, if you move the L3 analog stick to where you want to move upon revival, you can do that! I've seen people just stand there. A proto gives you 80% of armor which should take some bullet damage upon revival. Get to cover, someone may rep you and you are back at it again. Here's a term I would like to add to the game. A "zombie": when upon revival you finish off another player!
Someone mentioned that if you use uplinks, they should take some health away because the description of the UL is that "it is incredibly painful" so maybe your shields will be hit by 10, 20, 30, 40% depending on UL.
Also I like getting those 60pts and if it's a teammate it's 72. I do find that the injector can keep people combat aware. Meaning, that they know where the enemy is and they know which way is up, so to speak. |
