What if instead of salvage you had to scavenge. Here you would have to run up to a downd enemy clone you would hold circle for 1.5 seconds to scavenge. When you scavenged it wouldn't be everything they were wearing but i would be 1 thing anything on the suit or even the suit. it would have to be a clone that hasnt blead out yet. What do u guys think?

In short, no, why do I say no, because of how easily this system could be abused, lets say you have a corp on both sides of the match, then they decide to gank a person, someone on their team "revives" them for the other people in the corp to shoot them dead again, in this way you can get an infinite cycle loop of basically ripping the gear off a merc, and getting a lot of WP while your at it for those ripping the mercs gear off repeatidly.
You need to have it in a way that the merc can only be ripped off of once and that's it. |

How would you scavenge these peoples? They are being eaten by nanites so that you can not do this. The time in between would be very short, you would have to salvage an alive person and how would you carry this salvage? You are just one merc with two arms no back pack nada. Best left up to salvage drones to get anything left over if there is anything. |

its less of a backpack and more of a computer. by the looks of it, it contains your power core and other circuitry. maybe a small space to house your equipment which is limited remember, probably a reason for that being space. if you had a backpack would you carry all the equipment you need or would you leave space so you could loot bodies if there was any to loot.
also when you die you lose that suit and fittings. so with that in mind when you die you loose everything you looted unless they had a feature where you ran back to a re-supply to drop it off, but what if there are none left alive. no one in the game would get loot.
it just won't work out. the current way is better. it just needs sorting out to work better |
