Tanks have that little weak spot at the rear where you can get a decent load of extra damage on them with a well placed forge shot. Do LAVs have a similar weak spot and if so, where?
I had always presumed they'd be weak on the bottom but when a LLAV flipped over next to me yesterday, I let rip with my AV nades and they still did barely anything. If LAVs don't have a weakspot, they should and I think it should be the entire underside, so that if you're stupid enough to flip one, you're probably going to lose it. |

The weak spot is the hood of the LAV. Really? You'd think that the engineers would make the front of the vehicle the most armoured area because it's obviously most on show. The underside makes much more sense as a weakspot. |

The entire "bottom" of the LAV gives a small damage bonus (this is true for all ground vehicles, by the way), but this is really only exploitable when an RDV is dropping it, when an idiot flipped it, during "airtime" by bad drivers or using explosives.
The front "hood" of the AV between the headlights is a major weakspot. Thanks for this info - exactly what I wanted to know.
In this case, I think the underside of an LAV should be a much greater weakspot than just a 'small damage bonus'. |

Micro reactors, breach the containment or screw up enough of the redundancy and the whole thing goes critical. Ah good point. There's some Eve knowledge I've just learnt there!
I still think that the underside should be a worse weakspot though - flipping an LAV should pretty much mean the end of the vehicle unless you're lucky or far away from enemies with AV. |

Well excuse me for not knowing the construction of Eve vehicles or that capacitors explode when breached. No need to be an ass about it. |
