It will solve all this uproar about how its a useless/secretly usefull weapon.
Whether it is one or the other, making these variants will improve this weapon class...
Assault - lower dmg/higher splash good for anti-inf (maybe a clip of two??).
Breach - Very high damage/little splash/fast projectile/Less projectile drop good for AV
Since the weapon is "Plasma", its splash or direct hits should cause a period of "burn" damage (or poison damage for you RPG nerds) from the ensuing showering of plasma-ness.

I think that it should be this:
Assault: faster charge time, reduced damage, larger blast radius, faster reload
Breach:higher damage, longer reload, same splash as regular |

Breach
10x charge time, charge can be held does anti-vehicle appropriate damage, no splash, faster speed.

Yeah, I suppose so but if you make so many drastic changes, you might as well make a whole new weapon. In fact, isn't that just a plasma MD? Oh wait, is the plasma cannon supposed to be the gallente version of the MD? |
