You were a hitman?! That's kinda cool and kinda scary. Remind me not to get on your bad side. :P
If I never told my parents that I didn't want to work in their restaurant anymore, I'd probably be waitressing still or cooking. If I stuck with telling them hell no to working there lol, I'd be living in some crap apartment singing and performing around Matar. But more than anything I would talk to my parents more. My dad is a jerk and set in his ways and my mom just goes along with it. Kinda glad I told them I didn't want to work for them anymore. |

When he died he was actually working on getting my family a place in a colony in Intaki Syndicate lands. He liked to tell me about all the things I could accomplish with the fresh start he was going to provide us all.
Truth be told, I never wanted that though. I grew up outside of the State so naturally I was drawn to the happenings in more populated regions like The Forge. I fell in love with the entertainment and never really got over it. I always wanted to be a Splinterz operator, though these days I feel like I would make a pretty good Mind Clash player. If I can recreate half the things I see in my dreams then my opponents wouldn't stand a chance.
Mind Clash is probably one of my favorite things to watch. What is Splinterz about?
I think a lot of us younger mercs...I'm assuming you're around my age of 21...have gone against our parents wishes. |

I'll have to check out a few matches. Before I become a merc I was a wild child. If I wasn't doing one thing, I was doing another. I can admit that I was a handful compared to my siblings. Being a merc really calmed me down. Not wanting to work in the restaurant anymore was like the icing on the cake for my dad. My mom kinda understood but even then she wanted me to stay. Psh if you knew me a teen, you'd wonder what I'd be up to next. Haha. |

Hmm.... what would I be doing? I would've gone deep into the unknown parts of our galaxy and find a remote, out of the way planet and live there in solitude to... think about everything and observe nature.
Nature is a beautiful thing. I'm sure there are so many different animals out there that haven't been found out about. |

I'm not sure what I would be doing to be honest, I don't really call myself a mercenary but I get your point, I would perhaps be somewhere on Mehkios, or in the Sarum Prime system working perhaps some industrial job, perhaps security, visiting the great chapels of Sarum Prime, perhaps I would have had time to go on a pilgrimage, or met a woman and raised a family. Such things are beyond me now and I do not dwell on them.
A religious pilgrimage? Like a mecca? You seem like a father figure type. I might not agree with your views or religion, but I can sense a strong father like quality to you. You never know though! A kid can be in your future. |

It was not a profession I chose, it was something I had drifted towards when I ran away from home as a teenager and started living on my own. It's a rather lengthy story. Aria Gomes wrote: I think a lot of us younger mercs...I'm assuming you're around my age of 21...have gone against our parents wishes.
I was 16 when I ran away from home, and at the time I was really impulsive, impatient and inconsiderate. I believe that I had become what I am right now after I had started taking hitman contracts, it took some, practice to keep yourself unattached and impassionate towards your targets. Right now I'm 32, and judging by my career I'm going to be retiring before I turn 35.
Do tell! I love a good story.
I understand those impulsive, impatient and inconsiderate ways. I think all teens are like that. I only recently became a merc three years ago when I was twenty one, but even then my decision was a quick one. I didn't even think about it. Just signed up.I think I got tired of living with my friend and working at the local club.
Why retire though? |

@True Adamance: Well at least you're watching over someone.
@Jackson: What's one of your favorite things you have built?
@Denak: Everything happens for a reason I guess. Dying over and over again is extremely tiring and some are...gruesome to say the least.
@Adam-of-Eve: Be careful in wormhole space my brother.
@Delta 479: Nothing is better than a well prepared meal. I swear all that fighting makes me want to eat two cows by the end of the night.
@Octavian: You were a transporter? That doesn't sound fun. But I guess a job is a job. |

Yes, some deaths can be really painful, especially after you get revived again and again with the nanites struggling to patch up your broken body, sometimes very painfully. And even after returning from battle phantom pain might still persist, it's a nightmare to deal with.
I hate when they continue to revive you. Like what the hell...let me die dangit. |

Yes. She is the reason I am so adamant about the treatment of Matari slaves within the Empire. More than once have I had to deal with those more divergent and brutal slavers, each time they have been relieved of their charges and chave had them passed onto someone more worthy.
I prefer someone to be treated with respect than be disrespected by their holders. So I can thankful of it. Do she have the Voluval? I know it's a practice banned by Amarrian but I'm assuming you're more lenient than most. |

Eventually his hate grew and he put a hit on me. Its funny I am always fighting for isk but when i think about it he probably would of been a savage merc if he was strong enough. Wanting to kill his older brother over the profits from the workshop. I wonder if i would get in trouble if i ever attacked him. To see his face coward from the plasma smashing through the wall next to his head. Sorry to hear that. Siblings can be a pain at times. I had five lol. 2 sisters and 3 brothers and I just so happened to be the worst one out of all of them. I mean I was good at work and school, but once home or out with friends it was a different story. It was mostly my father and I getting into it all the time. My older siblings had their moments but I got the worst punishments from my dad. My mom was more relaxed with the discpline. |
