My playstyle doesn't really involve moving all that much (or at least not strafing gun fights). I stay back a nice distance and sharpshoot with my scrambler rifle or laser rifle. Since speed isn't that important to me more plates work just fine. Even when I'm attacking a base, I'll start by picking off the enemies from a nice distance and quickly move in, drop an uplink, hack something, and get back before the next wave of enemies come. |

And for your point on lighter suits, that's why ferroscale plates exist. The only problem with them is the increased CPU/PG is bad for light frames who don't get much PG/CPU to begin with. Plus aren't the ferroscale plates already balanced from the fact they provide less armor? So why the extra downside of more PG/CPU? |

I've done this, and every time, I live longer with just a repper than with an Armor Plate. I recommend a repper and farroscale/cardiac regulator. I've had opposite experiences. Heavies are already slow, so 10% of their movement speed isn't much, and you're not going to be winning an strafing contests either way. Might as well stack the complex plates, it's like they're made for heavies. Plus in Uprising 1.4 complex plates will give more armor and only 5% movement speed penalty. |

Increase your sensitivity in the options. That was one of the first things I did. |
