I would like for CCP to focus on getting certain things done that have taken from the appeal of Dust not only for those of us that are active, but also for those who have tried the game out and walked away. I want to get most of those folks back and I believe my set of priorities for the game would benefit everyone involved. This is based on my opinion, I do not know what CCP is working on or where their priorities lie, but I believe the following should be core among them:
Priority #2: Grouping and deployment of 16+ players into public matches. Many of us are frustrated with teams comprising of people who do not know how to work with one another. Expanding the number of players who can group together and deploy into the same match on the same team could go a long way to reinforcing the concept that teamwork is essential for victory. This won't ruin the game for newcomers or lone wolves, it will instead introduce players to the idea that they must work as a team and either join corporations as members, or as the hired help. |

I would prefer this not be an option to avoid even more pubstomps by corps. I think the pub matches should be for solo or small teams; FW is for stronger corps that aren't big enough for PC, and PC should be for the biggest and baddest out there.
Problem with FW is they fill up quickly and you can sit there for 30 min +. |

Forlorn Destrier wrote: Agreed - FW needs to be tweaked to make it work better. Right now, the number of battles is limited due to low interest. CCP needs to work to enhance FW battles to make them more appealing.
Off topic question: why not mirror the current instant battle selection and game modes to Faction Warfare (with the ability to choose a side), and then limit the squad size of public non-FW battles to 3 maximum? This would help resolve the pubstomp of public matches, and increase participation in FW battles.
Interesting, but I believe a better way to improve FW would be to set up a queue for FW with your group so that you can join the selected side as soon as a battle comes up with enough space for your group for that faction. |

Forlorn Destrier wrote:] EDIT: so what you wold have in FW would be several choices, for example: Ambush - Minmater Defense Force; Ambush Amarr Defense Force; Ambush Minmater Invasion Force; etc. Thoughts?
Leave pub the way it is and allow for queue to be in place before the battle is available. |
