I went to go throw away garbage when I was in a domination game, so I was gone for 3-4 minutes, anyways the match ended after a few more minutes.
I got three salvage items. 2 Proto/officer weapons and proto forge gun. Not the first time it's happened either.
I remember back in Chromosome, I went to the Bathroom and when I came back I got two dropships.
Why do people get more salvage for not playing the game?  |

I don't think anyone knows how salvage works. except for CCP, I highly doubt that as well though |

I never get any salvage no matter what I do or do not. Very rarely some ADV stuff. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong or I just su*k? :P |

I think CCP should introduce a salvage tool. These are available in eve. It would be good if you could salvage dropsuit mods. |

Dude that actually happened yesterday when I AFK'd 3 times in a row(I wanted to see what all the rage was about). I got salvage every single time!

This is working as intended.
If you AFK a battle the game assumes you feel, that your equipment is to bad to participate. Due to this, you get adv/proto gear at the end of the match for free. |

That's awesome except for the fact I'll never get to use a thale sniper rifle... ever...
I don't even use the militia version.

Makes sense but still sucks. Yesterday, I went 4/0 with an Adv. M.D. on my proto Minmatar Assault. I wasted 3 minutes trying to find and kill a Sniper in the hills, which I did. At the end of the match I got the same exact M.D. I was using as salvage. |

Salvage does need to be fixed/re-calculated. Running away should NOT be rewarded with more/better salvage, wining and participation should be all that count.
I kill you, I get some of your equipment, maybe even a majority of equipment, then those who helped less would get less.

Me and a few others have noticed you get more salvage more often the worse you actually do in a game it seems, probably so even if you get stomped into the ground you still get SOMETHING for your trouble |

I normally am top 5 every game (good logi will do this.) I RARELY get salvage (but I have noticed more recently, has something changed?) But yeah, I noticed after semi-afking a few matches (smoke breaks and squad leader wasn't willing to wait lol) that you get way better salvage the worse you do (it still seems to be semi-random from the small testing I've done tho.) I can only imagine what kinda loot you full time afkers have. |

Because when your out fighting, your not in the mcc to meet the UPS guy that delivers the salvage. DUH. thought everyone knew that. |
