Precisely...lol a Duvolle downs a fully proto heavy, with full shield and armor upgrades, shield mod and armor md upgrades, and complex armor and shield extendes in 3 seconds....lol literally, the max ehp a heavy can have is 1580, a duvolle without mods downs that fully proto heavy in 3 seconds! its dps without mods or proficiecny is 516. with proficiecny its 593
1580 ehp/516 ehp per sec = 3.06 seconds. total shots expended = 38 shots
1580 ehp/593 ehp per sec = 2.7 seconds. total shots expended = 34 shots (basically half a clip)
since it does 110% to shield and 95% to armor. a sentinel will survive slightly longer under fire.
A basic proto heavy with all the aforementioned skill points and equipment mods, has 651sh/886ar. 651ehp/(593*1.1)ehp per second = 651ehp/652ehp per second = .999 seconds shields stripped 886 ehp/ (593*.95) ehp per second = 886 ehp/563 ehp per second = 1.6 seconds armor destroyed
total time to kill = 1 + 1.6 = 2.6 seconds
A proto sentinel heavy with all the aforementioned skill points and mods etc, has 579 sheilds/ 1012 armor 579 ehp/ 652 ehp per second = .8 seconds 1012 ehp/ 563 ehp per second = 1.7 seconds
total time to kill = .9 + 1.8 = 2.7 seconds
so, in a sentinel suit you survive .1 second longer under duvolle fire, unmodded, with just proficiency.
I used heavies as an example because, if it takes 2.7 seconds to kill a proto sentinel. how long would it take to wipeout your scout? what about a caldari medium frame std?
308 sheilds (using the skills max from above), using 2 basic shield extenders, 263 armor. 308/652 = .47 seconds 263/563 = .46 seconds
survives .93 second under fire....lol
But, MD is OP? |

Go figure. Strafing. Insanely high DPS > strafing. Didn't someone do the math and showed that they out damage large blaster turrets. Plus that way to bypass kick/dispersion doesn't help either.
blaster turret on vehicles do 34 damage per shot at 705 dps = 399.5 or approx 400 without the bonus 10%. i dnt think vehicles got the buff indamage. but even if they did, 440 doesn't compare...
a milita AR does 467 dps, with nothing added to it.
and MD and flaylocks where OP? |

my assault forgun does 1535 something damage per shot. but I have a 3-4 second charge up time.
Aforgun 1535/4 = 383 dps milita AR = 467
1535/3 = 511 dps. milita AR and 1 enhanced damage mod = 490dps milita AR with proficiency = 537dps
now forguns aren't really dps weapons, bt as you can see, its not spitting out 1535 damage every second. and this is an ADV forgun im talking about with the skills put in it.
but my forguns, any MD or my flaylocks are OP?

Go figure. Strafing. ^ PPL always seem to forget that bullets are quite easy to dodge if you have any skill(or sense). Plug in the number of times one misses and then tell me how fast a Duvolle downs you (I'm a scout so the TTK is even faster then that... if I was standing still). Me vs a AR = me win if the guy has no skill. Me vs a MD = me win if I'm lucky enough for the guy to be reloading AND I am able to flux him AND land all head shots... this is not very common as the guy keeps dodging my damn bullets and there for has enough time to reload and finish me off. The idea of nurfing the MD is tempting but the idea of buffing everything else instead is just plane lustful (breach SMG get only 3.6 dmg increase between STD and Proto. And this is WITH proficiency 5)
forguns are easy to dodge too...Flaylocks were easy to dodge as well. MD are harder to dodge in at closer ranges, but then again ARs are a mid range weapon... mid range weapons arent supposed to be the best at CQC.
and remember, with a forgun, flaylock, and MD every shot counts.
with a duvolle, like i showed before your average suit of 500+ ehp, dies in 12 shots...lol, out of a clip of 60 you have 5 chances to finish that guy in other words you could kill that guy 5 times over in one clip. no other guy i know can do that. (forgun only gets 4 shots...lol so no other gun in the game with a clip can kill an infantryman 5 times over without missing. perhaps scramblers but they overheat so the TTK is longer)

if the mass driver fired 750 rounds per minute and had better dps than HMGs, then yeah, i would agree.
but since, it is an "AREA OF EFFECT" weapon, and an "AREA DENIAL" weapon, with a clip of only 6 rounds, and very limited ammo, and low damage. i doubt it needs a nerf. i actually could use a buff in ammo, and a slight buff in damage.
its doing what its supposed to do, deny access to areas. if you run in there and get killed its your fault. i mean really what is the point to an area denial weapon, if you can just charge in with your AR and win.
you AR noobs really don't understand this game. every single weapon that is good at defending assaults your nerfed. HMGs as an infantry supression weapon was nerfed, shotguns were nerfed, flaylocks were nerfed, lazers were nerfed, and now you want MD and forguns to be nerfed? |

Guess what with the assault rifle you don't. Did I mention that with the mass driver you regularly outlive your ammo supply? I doubt that's a problem with the assault rifle and that it's good at every range, every elevation. Shyt even the hip fire is dead on! But the mass driver is op... funny. I will dread this new update... because the AR noobs that couldn't touch me before, will completely raped anything i used other than a medium frame with an AR....lol

what i find hilarious....lol is that right now FOTM faggots are trying so hard to "prove" the MD is OP...lol, but they consistantly end up with the lowest scores per match. I played several rounds and the MD just couldn't stop me. especially me shield tanking suits...lol.
this actually proves that the MD needs a serious buff. I mean, really i fought 4 people using proto MD at the same time in my decked out milita minmintar suit and killed them with a scrambler rifle and flux... WTF.
MD needs 50% increase in ammo capacity and a 15% increase in damage. |
