Last night I messed around a little bit in my Gunnlogi, which is a rarity because I fly Pythons most of the time. It's got a large standard missile turret on it, and I'd never given it much time. Turns out, it's fantastic at tank busting. I didn't lose to a single tank. As long as your shots land, you can beat a railgun or a blaster on a shield tank because they will have to wait on their heat, and it absolutely wrecks armor tanks due to the missile bonus on them. My only fear is that I'll run into another missile Gunnlogi some day. Oh, and ground AV units. I'm doubtful any Python pilots are as good of a tank buster as myself though :P |

When there are 2 of us we can take out a standard tank like its nothing, and usually the ones with the best offense = a bad defense. Yeah, I just leave militia turrets on the sides to save money unless one of my corp mates requests. But, exclusively level 5 turret skills (including Caldari Assault Dropship), a pair of proto damage mods, and an XT-1 Accelerated definitely get the job done. |
