So i discovered the game has a 30 fitting limit, and as a player who likes having a lot of utility this bothers me a lot. I want to be able to have a collection of fits for different things, and I want an effective way of organizing them (other than naming tricks).
So I have two proposals
Up the cap of number of fits to 250 Allow us to organize fits into folders.
I know I personally would have "Frontline", "Sniper", "AV", "Logistics" and "Scout" folders the moment we got this feature. |

In the end I will only have like 7-20 fits so personally I wouldn't need the increased cap but I know that different players require more fits than others due to the way there mind works. I would say 50-90 fits would be a good enough cap.
Fitting folders is a nice idea! Would be optional though, right?
Currently I would only have "Starter" and "Tactics" but later will add "Logistics" and "Proto".

yeah optional - you can define your own.
obviously it can come with a predefined "starter fits" folder (that you can delete).
I am obviously one of those players that makes loadouts for different situations. |

Overall the idea itself will only help DUST and I can't see how it would, in anyway, hurt the game so +1.

I fully support the idea. With around 12 million Sp I'm experimenting with different racial suits and gear and this would certainly help as I continue to move laterally with some tactical based load outs. |

This would definitely be a cool little feature to add in. Right now I'm having to use my own alphabetical organization system but this would be a simple way to make it more convenient. |

That's what I have. I've pretty much invented my own dewey decimal system.
I use the first number to sort out the different main weapons the fits would have, the second number denotes the equipment and the last two letters indicate the grenade type. Any special notes come after that, usually what variant of the weapon I am using or if it's all tank no gank. you get the idea.
example -
1.1.LC = a scrambler rifle with a scanner and locus grenades 1.1.LC ascr = same as above with an assault SCR 2.2.FX = LR with nanohives and flux nades. 1.L124.AV = a logi with AV nades, scanners hives and uplinks.
It's been working just fine for me for the past few months. |

I simply give mine a name that represents the class based on my previous FPS experiences. I also add a letter, number, or "+" before the name to signify the quality of the load out or if I should start build up to the next level.
Examples:
Z - AV = "Z" is used to keep it at the bottom of the list and represents a starter fit. M - AV = "M" tells me that there is at least one item on the fit that is MLT AND there are no items above STD level. 1 - AV = "1" tells me that all gear is STD or higher. 2 - AV = "2" tells me that I have all the ADV that I can fit, with any other filled slots being STD. "3" would mean Proto. +1 - AV = "+" tells me that all gear is at the needed level or higher. It also means that I need to be focusing my SP on this specific fit. The name (AV) fallowing the honorific would tell me the purpose or play style the fit is meant for.

As a logi, it can be rough having so many different fittings for different situations, not to mention having to have cheap fittings, expensive fittings, and everywhere in between.
+1 This is something I would love to see. BTW I need somewhere to put all my non logi militia fittings as well. |

Agreed.
I personally name mine by number then frame. The numver is for the fits I most commonly use:
1 - MLT: RF/AV/NH
It's a militia suit with a standard AR (RF means rapid fire), AV grenades and a nanohive.
5 - PRO: RF/LOCUS/CH
Proto suit with rapid fire duvolle AR, locus nades and compact hive.

Fully agree. As a Gallente logi I have a lot of loadouts with different equipment/weapon configurations, not even counting variations to amount of tank vs speed etc. folders would really really help to access appropriate fittings in the heat of battle. |

+1. I have lots of these, and folders would be nice too.
As we're sharing naming conventions, I name mine by frame race, tech level - weapon, grenade, equipment. So my proto gallogi with a scrambler rifle and locus grenade and uplink is GPRO-SCRLU. |

An interesting detail:
Once CCP PC team (true grit?) was surprised to see that people were using only and only their proto suits in corp battles. Well there's no wonder if we can't have ready fittings for budget options - NO-ONE is gonna delete and redo fittings during battle!
These are some examples: - All standard - Cost-effective - Normal Corp Match - De Luxe (officer gear).
The low number of fits resonate even into pub matches and are one factor making new player's experience even worse: proto stomps will happen anyways, but there's really no other option. I, for example, am using always proto because there's no room for advanced loadouts. Just can't be bothered into deleting-recreating business. |

I agree, but it should be with the provision of some sort of organizational system (folders, pages, etc.) so it doesn't get out of hand.
I haven't skilled into any suits or any weapons (saving SP since May respec for new content), and I still run out of fittings. |

Dear god this would be perfect I'm usually the first to say get to the basics first but this idea is just pure gold!!!
I personally use fl/av/ow to sort my suits(frontline/av/over watch) and then put he isk value and brief description. When I hit my cap I just delete most of my fits and just rebuild the ones I use. |

This would be tremendously helpful as I run Assault, Logi, Scout and Heavy And I always have multiple fittings of every suit with suitable weapons and equipment.
As for naming I go: class - Primary Weapon - equipment. So an assault suit with AR and Nanohive would be ASLT AR NH. |

Hell yeah! I need this in my life. +1
Scrolling through the list in the heat of battle trying to spawn on an uplink that could be destroyed any moment only to fail because the desired fitting takes too long to get to - so annoying! I am not quite at the limit yet but only because I refuse to make more whilst there is no grouping option. I just alter fittings on the fly when I need a slightly different version of a certain fitting. |
