every single domination i play ends at the red line, im so sick of this imaginary zone determining so much, people spend entire matches in the red line, there shouldnt be an area where one team can go and the other can not, remove the red line that is different for the two teams, make one redline that applies to both teams at the edge of the map if at all, camping spawns wouldnt be a problem with the multiple defaults to choose from, ppl wouldnt be able to red line snipe/forge/tank , and even if teams did start camping spawns within where the red line was, how is that different from the entire team standing toes at the line shooting across, the red line completely ruins the game, if its when your being murdered at the line, or when your opponent majority hides back there so your forced to just sit at the edge ..and wait...so exciting |

I fully agree something has to be done. KDR whoring red line snipers and rail tanks are getting me to a point I no longer enjoy this game s much as I once did. I'm a heavy so trying to avoid a thale can be really tricky on some maps, with no option but to switch to sniping in a game to counter. Even then you can't kill them because, oh wait dat head glitch. |

I'd have to disagree about removing the red line. The red line is there to stop one side camping out under the MCC with a squad of HMG wielding Heavies or a pair of Blaster Madrugars. It's supposed to give each team a safe zone to spawn.
Removing the red line won't stop the issue of being pushed all the way back to ground base in a Skirmish or Domination, it'll just make it that much worse. Imagine playing on Ashline and your team gets pushed all the way back to the red line. Only there is no red line. So now the other team can camp out at the ground base and slaughter you as you spawn, leaving only your MCC as your safe spawn point, but that's now useless as you're shot to pieces the moment you land as the enemy team is camping under it and waiting on you since the ground base is almost directly below the MCC.
Hell, Asheline's red line's unsafe as is, given how shallow it is and the LAV's have a clear run right through and out the other side, but at least it gives us somewhere to spawn without being cut down instantly by Assault Rifles.
On other maps it'd be just as bad; Blaster tanks under the MCC and infantry camping the ground base. The last thing I'd want is to spawn in and be greeted by a squad of Boundless HMGs, Duvolle Assault Rifles and Freedom Mass Drivers. And I'm a Heavy.
Granted, this is a worse case scenario. But when red lining is a common occurrence, it's bound to happen eventually. And just imagine a PC battle where that happens. |

Can we have an example/idea of what CCP is considering to change/implement and perhaps a guess as to a potential release? |

I can not really relay that information personally. I don't want to mention a release date because I am not positive which release it is coming. I can assure you though that I know it has been / is being worked on and code support has been done for it. I know its functional internally currently. |

There has to be some indication of the "yellow zone" where the opposing team can't go but we can.
We can see our red line but we can't see the other teams red line. With experience on the maps we know where it is, but if we really do get more terrain types we'll need to be able to see the other guys red line so we can stay out of it -- a "yellow zone" where the other team can't go but we can and yet where we don't die outright.
As an aside pilots have a larger area where they can fly but where, if you are on the ground you die in the ground-based red zone. So for each team there are Three zones, where aircraft can fly but won't die, where you can walk and not die, where you can walk but the other team can't. With the current HUD set up we can only see one of them at a time.
If there are going to be different rules about things like skill points for each zone there needs to be some indication of where those zones are, like different color shades on the mini-map.

The redline in all domination maps needs to be pushed back for dropships, getting hit by a rail instilation 15 seconds into the enemy redline with no way of destroying it short of parking a tank on the roof of a building is bullcrap. |
