Let me explain CCP, what you did wrong with "Prototype Gear" is that it could be bought in large quanities but its expensive. But the problem is some people make so much money doesnt it phase them. And instead of proto gear being used on important ocassions, its being spammed. My solution: Prototype gear shouldent be massivly manufactured obviously (Because it should be rare as its still being developed)!!! So limit proto to 5 dropsuits , 15 weapons and for equipment five of each, per day!!!

Just wait until the market opens up and industry gets established. You will see the prices sky rocket like hell once the players gain full control of the economy.

Leave the prices as is. The only ones crying about proto are the ones who have not earned. I earned it and I will use it. So try not to get to much blood on my suit

Which requires the removal of prototype and advanced gear from the NPC market first. making player effort the only source to these modules which in turn also means that if there was teiricide every suit would be at least proto in stats and not suffer as much.

I like how most of you guys replieng and people like you dont seem to care about the game itself but much rather your own glory. We need more players and im sick of them being driven off because of proto stompers!!! And all im saying is limit the amount of proto you can buy each day so you'll use it on important ocassions like pc. I know alot of you proto stompers just like one sided battles but this isnt just about you, there's an entire community to serve to keep this game running.

Or do the opposite. Make proto cheaper so players who have grinded for it can use it.

Most people aren't in PC - why would the playerbsse stick around if there is no point of grinding for equipment if you can't use it.

Toughen up newbies. One day will come when you can use proto gear and see that while it is cool, you still are horrible. I kill proto in my starter fits......WTF is up with that I shouldn't even be able to touch those guys if it is all about the suits. Wait it iisn't some skill is involved what do you know. Man up already and play the game grind for your gear just like everyone b4 you had to do. Stop blamiing protos for you being bad. If you are paying that much attention to what suit they are wearing then YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG

A new corpmate carries your same sentiments. But you know what? Like I told him, call it rites of passage. If you stick with it, you will be in a proto suit doing the same thing. I know I will once I get there. Until then, those red eyes **** me off but I'm not running away. Every toe to toe with the red eyes, I'm looking to kill not die.

Toughen up mercenary...this is New Eden. Candyland is a long ways from here.

There's going to be a tiericide? I'd hope so but I have the feeling it is VERY unlikely.

OP, how does your suggestion fit with selling AUR Proto level gear? If they take that away, CCP loses revenue. If they'd do something like you suggest but leave it, players would cry "Pay to Win".

For those same reasons I wouldn't count on the player market, which isn't likely to be implemented even SOONGäó to balance out Proto gear in public lobbies either.

Match-making and PVE are the real answers.
