A simple question CCP. When you already have a minor presence on Playstation Home (the Event Horizon Lounge, and four drop suits), what has limited you from selling products on the Home platform? Despite initial appearances, Playstation Home seems to be a very strong, albeit quiet money maker. Several companies run exclusively with Home producing digital assets with a high profit margin on these goods. I am not sure how difficult it is to render your current art and model assets into PS Home; however, as a PS Home user myself I would certainly purchase what you produce.

Dust community, please discuss what assets you would like to see introduced to Home. For instance, these assets might be concept art posters, racial themed quarters, or corporation conference spaces.
PS: I would love to see a Gallente and Amarr Assault Drop Suits added to PS Home. Currently only the Gallente Scout, Minmatar Logi, Amarr Heavy, and Caldari Assault are available with access to the Slay minigame. |

After some more thought, I would certainly be interested in seeing a fully futuristic casino. If only there could be full integration with one's merc account on this. |

Aero Yassavi wrote:The PS Home players do seem like the type of players that have interest in a free to play product while still showing they are willing to dish out a lot of money for virtual goods, aren't they?
Seems like a target market indeed. |

Well Sir, more money in the developers hands usually equates to an ability to produce more content for a title. Especially a free to play one. |

Ideally, winnings in the PS Home casino should equate to unlocking tiers of both freely awarded items and discounts on in-game arrum items such as the Store Bundles and Legacy M.A.G. suits. A skilled player could have the ability to grind these games for a decent discount on these bundle packs. To play in the casino a player would be provided a low amount of starter funds, onto which the player would then have to place down real-world funds once their initial holdings ran out. |

Sure. I'm only proposing an additional outlet for revenue generation. As was discussed in the Gamasutra article, micro-transactions with models and art assets are quite profitable with regards to the ease with which these goods can be created and distributed on a digital market, vs, the higher investment of developing a full fledged game title.
Additionally, a general feeling within the community appears to be that people want more meaningful and varied content to spend their aurum on; not simply buying aurum for the sake of more aurum. The appeal of buying mercenary and veteran packs seem to lose their edge when you accumulate 4 to 5 copies of the Toxin AR. |

Not to say that we should have a repeat of the monocle-gate pricing fiasco, yet Eve online has a tremendous amount of clothing and vanity items already. Why not port such content over and cut into a market of non-eve players who still enjoy the sci-fi spacer style.

From that point, all I am wondering is how much server space would be needed to expand such social aspects of the game. It seems like quite a lot. On the other hand, the infrastructure is mostly already in place on the PS Home. By releasing assets to PS Home, CCP would be outsourcing this aspect of Dust 514 to at least get the ball rolling on more MMO metagaming. Honestly, what's wrong with dual game integration. If PS Home moves onto the playstation 4 I could see this becoming a major force with social gaming.Sony's discussion about instant-on games appears to be moving in a direction of being able to move between games, or having the option of having a game-lobby shard of PS Home always on and ready to step into from another game in order to meet up with other people. |

A good and quick read from PlayStation Magazine provides several points on extending Home into the next-generation ecosystem. |

I would really find it kind of fitting to see a game of five finger fillet in the Minmatar Gambling Den.
Although, 20000 years into the future somebody likely has an implant and pneumatic actuators to win this game in a heartbeat.
In all honesty, this five finger fillet also oddly works in a context where you can replace out your old body if it gets damaged. |

I think it would also be tremendously meaningful to see a digital version of H+Šttuspil, or the "Danger Game" which helped fund the production of Eve Online. |
