I fitted it like an advanced Caldari Assault and... wow how it was OP. Went 11-0. I know that's a sucky score compared to some of you, but it was a basic.... I will skill into the logistics version eventually though. Give it a try! |

... at lower levels all suits have low slot counts, so the Amarr's higher base HP stacks really well with core HP skills to make it feel much tankier than equal level suits.
When higher slot counts and racial assault/logi bonuses come into play...beware: Scaling. |

Well, I only have lvl 3 in shields and armor for the core skills, but lvl 2 for engineering and electronics :/ so it can't be that. |

lvl 3 shields and armor core = 15% HP increase to both shields and armor. engineering and electronics only affect fitting.
It has more base HP, but as said above the amarr medium frame have very few modules compared to others of their type and are the slowest.
The assault does however sprint 5 seconds longer than other assaults, and when combined with amarr weaponry it makes a formidable combination. Very specialized though. |

You are shield tanking. CCP ****** up amarr because Amarr aren't shield tankers. We are armour tankers. Fit yourself out like a real Amarrian and get Amour tanking.

as much as I like dual tanking with the assaults... how do you fit your amarr assaults.
FYI it is also appropiat to shield tank as they do give shield bonuses but it doesn't really matter. |

Sorry I was not explicit enough. Let me phrase it this way: "Higher base HP gives a proportionally greater advantage at lower tiers where other suits have fewer module slots to make up for this base HP gap; higher level suits with more +HP modules can decrease the proportional advantage/disadvantage in base HP due to base HP's diminishing role in total HP pool at higher levels. A low base HP suit with a large number of +HP modules can gain more HP than a high base HP suit with very few slots for +HP modules thus minimizing the advantage of the higher base HP suit at higher tiers if the higher base HP suit has fewer slots than low base HP suits."

Its not appropriate since the Amarr don't do shields. Im not making this up. in EVE Amarrian ships do armour.
I fit mine as a pure armour tanker. With Damage Mods in highs, Single Armour Plate, With Reppers. |

I know they how they are in eve, and I love the amarr ships in eve but, they don't have any armor bonuses even though I always armor tank my amarr and Gallente as much as possible but I like survivability so I like dual tanking my amarr suits.
I recently got my ADV. amarr assault so now I can be even more effective with my fits |

My amarr assault fit is as follows
ADV Amarr Assault LV3
CRW04 Scrambler rifle
Scrambler pistol
Packed AV
2 Complex DMG
2 Complex Armor repair
both shield and armor upgrades are lv5
with this fit, i run around in 450 hp (225/225). It has some good survivability since shield regen kicks in quick and armor is constantly repairing at 12.5hp/s so during firefights i theoretically have "more" armor hp than my normal 225. Ive tried using plates before, and i have found that armor repair provides more survivability than 2 complex shield extenders + 2 Ferroscale Armor plates. |
